Back for more!

Body weight last night. Finished all three sets tho the 3rd chinup and last two pushups were a struggle in set 3.
Think I need to spend a couple of nights a week just doing upper body. Chinups especially don't get better unless I work hard on them. Would like to get back to 5.
Run this morning, aiming for sub-32 minutes
Went out pretty hard for the first 2km then cruised back, tho it didn't feel cruisy with 500 to go.
No lingering vision issues so that's good.

Skipped my run yesterday as I was a bit tired - last 2 days haven't done any exercise really except about 7km walking the last couple of days and a shitload of pressure cleaning the concrete at The Deceased Estate. Italians love them the concrete. Jeez. Must be over 100sqm of the fucking stuff. Anyway, it clean now. The contrast is amazing...
Waterblasting is such fun. Not many chores like that where you can see instant results that are so dramatic. (well maybe chainsawing down the neighbours tree)

I did some chainsaw work as well on trees that are just out of shot
It is kind of addictive...

Ooh yeah! It's one of those things that once you start you need the wife to tell you to stop before there is a desert.

Skipped Wednesday's run as I was probably just too lazy. Drinking a couple of litres of beer last night probably fucked up my run this morning - clocked 2km at 6:05/km then started to get vision issues and calf pain.
So I turned around and walked home using the shortcut. Not a great outcome but it has just been one of those weeks.

Stepped on the scales this morning for a first time in a while.
I may be slightly overdoing the beer side of things...
So easy to do.
I'm astonished and quite proud of my discipline during lockdown though, I won't crack one open before 5pm......I try to stick more to Red Wine though, less bloaty than the Craft beer I unfortunately love.

Yeah I was farting like a demon this morning - the beer was mostly flat tho as I'd bought 5 litres at the local last week ($25) and not stored it in a decent container
But The Bourne Identity was on last night, and I was trying to dispose of flat beer, so I just kept going on the couch until I was sleepy

Flat Beer is proof there is no God

That shows fortitude and dedication. Now, about that running...

Flexible priorities. This week the drinking stops... Or at least, al6lows to a trickle

@NTA fark!
Yeah it sucks. Can't work out if it was the exercise or something else.
I think, rather than backing off at this point, I need to start keeping notes on what I eat, how I slept, and the exercise I'm doing in order to try and boil it down to key factors.
When I was fit back in my 30s, the migraines went away. I thought they were linked to the heart surgery, but that hope has been quashed.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I'm back.
Let's see: started going back to the gym during COVID and using my fancy watch to record stuff. Mainly my HR so I could see how close I was to collapse.
Mostly getting a few things back in order and setting goal weights on squats, deadlifts, farmer's carry, bench press, and chinup/pullup/neutral-grip-up. The idea being I'm on 92 caps for the club, and after breaking my stupid old arse in First Grade for 1 game last year after heart surgery in Feb, thought it best to at least get some muscle tone back with a bit of bulk.
There has been a little bit of road work in there but kept finding excuses to avoid it, which I really shouldn't as I'm sitting around 105kg at the moment. Little bit of migraine and a little bit of plantar fasciitis/bruised heel will curtail that...
Rugby preseason has commenced, and I've been getting into the aerobic stuff there. My last bronco is 7:33 which is the time to beat at the end of preseason. Ran that in 38C heat on Monday, so anything after that should be a doddle
Last night we did a fitness session in a trio - me with a couple of guys 10 years younger. It was a fun group exercise in that it sucked. From one in-goal:
- Player A runs to the opposite tryline and back
- While that happens, Player B is doing the exercise - pushups, situps, or squats
- Player C is in rest
- Now player B runs, Player C does reps, Player A rests
And so on...
Each group has to get to 150 reps of each exercise collectively. So reckoning on about 30-40 reps per run (diminishing) you end up covering a fair bit of shit. I ended up doing my own thing for a bit while the young fellas did contact, because fuck that when you feel like you're about to vomit.
After that I wandered over to help the women's 7s team train. They've got a couple of rookies this year learning the game and I'm not so fast I can catch them easily.
Average HR was 159bpm over half an hour, peaking 180.
