Wow. The Landers would've won it if Parker had just kicked over what looked like a fairly easy penalty. Still wouldn't have deserved it though, as all they could do for most of the second half was tackle, gift the Blues the ball and infringe.

Fucking fuck yeah. That game couldn't have been better if a helicopter exploded.

Blues pack is looking bloody good. Up against the best backline in the competition, the Blues did well. Halfbacks looking good.

I'd like to see a replay of the build-up to the Smith's last try again. Naholo's foot looked very close to the touchline in Ranger's tackle. No mention from the commentators.

A good start to the comp.

You can fuck your NH porridge...THIS is what we watch rugby for - so many positives, creativity and vision right from the off in the very first game

What an excellent start to the season, bloody excellent, am loving it well worth getting up early for..

Well done Tana's Blues! But What a last minute try, Bender!

Blake Gibson ,im not going to say future Allblack yet because I would like to see more of him first , but that was pretty impressive for a 20 year old in that position

Sorry AM I was trying to be funny. I know who Karpik is and have seen him play quite a few times. He's okay but even at this stage he doesn't read the game like Gibson showed for the u20s or in the ITM Cup.

If Gibson was not injured during the ITM Cup, Karpik sits on the bench. At the end of last year, Feeney was asked to talk about the young players in Auckland, and he mentioned Blake Gibson, along with TJ Faiane, as two players he thought were special and would go on to be All Blacks.

Karpik is definitely good though, but Gibson can do everything he can do, but better.

Sorry AM I was trying to be funny. I know who Karpik is and have seen him play quite a few times. He's okay but even at this stage he doesn't read the game like Gibson showed for the u20s or in the ITM Cup.

Was that the first game of the season or the first game of the finals? Cracking game great tries with a high skill and execution level.
