What's Fakatava's contact situation? Nuggie is still playing at his best so most likely be stuck behind him still. Chiefs could use another halfback as long as Weber is fucked off.

Fakatava's contract duration hasn't been published, but I got the impression that he's signed with the Landers until the end of the 2021 season.

Shelby-Rickit has a bit of edge to his game. Like his work rate and aggression.

Good to see him channelling the aggression on the field, rather than off it.

@Chris Ben May is leaving, so probably him?
Ahh ok

Watching Aaron Smith in this competition has been both pleasure and a privilege..he has been the architect of some outstanding ball playing with his tight forwards..

I was going to say this. Smith is so far ahead of any other halfback in NZ (and the world).
And is there a 1st 5 slower than JGB?

Darn, never like ending the season with a loss. Conceded too many penalties and let down by some poor decision-making.
Credit to the Highlanders who richly deserved their win. They edged it in the forwards. Pari Pari Parkinson must be an All Black and looks set for a long Test career. Mitch Hunt had a really impressive game, best I've seen from him. Aaron Smith and Josh Ioane are a strong 9-10 combo.

@Bones Dunno; he was talking to Tom Parsons; I didn't see who the Canes player was.
One was Ben May. Naki connection?

@Bones Or Walden joins the Magpies haha.
That would perfectly explain the lack of game time!

@Bones Haha, except it doesn't, because Walden is in the Naki WTG squad that was named a week or so ago.

Just a thought... anyone know how many disallowed "tries" were scored against the Highlanders in SRA?
Hard luck canes, didn't look up for it in a dead rubber after the bye eh.
Chur Landers, definitely excited for next season now, great team taking shape.
@Bones If one team has exceeded expectations, it's the Highlanders! Not even half as bad as people predicted before the SR season kicked off, early this year. The coaches achieved a great transformation during lockdown. Good to see several players developing really well, now they're no longer in the queue behind the players that have left.

@Stargazer spot on. 1 from six before, three from eight after... In a much tougher competition
