Not much in it. 14 - 7 to Auckland at half time.

Good to have Rayasi and Faiane back. Two of our better players in the first half.

Seems Faiane picked up an injury and now Hickey has replaced him.

Great defense by Rayasi to save a try.

Messy game so far. We have them at set piece time but can't seem to string anything more than 3 phases at a time.

Rayasi has got to get some game time in 2021 Super Rugby.

Closer game than the score suggests, but some nice skill out there from Auckland.

I mentioned that Waikato's lack of size out wide (Waaka and Coombes-Fabling) might be exposed and so it was. Waikato got out-muscled up front too, so never had much go-forward.

If Tupaea had scored the game might have been different but Waikato looked a little off the pace all game.

Not the end of the world but a big game against BOP next Sunday.

always a big game between Waikato and the bay, in this weird season it has significant impact for both teams in terms of the comp let alone rivalry
