That was a great effort in the last 15. We lifted with the substitutions and kept at it. Very happy and relieved

Poor game management from Waikato at the end. Frustrating to watch.

Strawbridge needs to settle on his preferred top XV rather than making so many changes each week. I hope both Smith and Cobb are injured, as it was stupid not to play them otherwise.

Pleased for BOP as it may save them from relegation. But I was staggered Waikato dragged Roe so early as he was controlling the game so well in the absence of a regular 10 and their buffer was small. Triple T and Garland had their best games so far today. Enjoyed the game.

Has anyone picked up why/how long Aaron Carroll is out for?

@Donsteppa Good luck with finding that sort of information from the Union. Would also be interested to know what happened to Tiatia and Laupepe ?

                    Yep, it’s a bit of a mystery 🙂

It’s impressive to see the depth we’re starting to develop, given the injury toll this year. It would give Clayton some very good selection headaches if everyone was fully fit.

I believe Carroll out with concussion, Laupepe has back problems. The latter may be back soon... The squad is walking wounded apparently - but this will be the same for every team.

                        Late to this thread but

YAY!!!! Beating Canterbury, Hawke's and DSW in consecutive weeks is a golden period in our history. To be honest, I thought we would need Harbour to falter to save us from relegation with those 3 tough games so it is somewhat annoying to win all 3 and still not be safe.

Yeah, I'll have to admit I am somewhat miffed. Given how we started the season and the caliber of the teams ahead I gave us little hope and I assumed life would be less stressful with the predicted losses. It was nice to know that there would be no more cursing the ref, no more stomping around the lounge in a rage, no more hiding behind the couch during tense moments and no more vowing never to watch rugby again !! I could comfortably look forward to a sedate cricket season and write off another BOP season.

But the buggers have played well knocking over some decent teams putting us a semi final /relegation race. To make matters worse there now is some justifiable expectation of success So I am resigned to a tense North Harbour game which will probably age me several years.

So this!! :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_smiling_eyes: On the plus side, I never expected Canterbury to be the 'easy' game of the wins. Hawkes and Waikato were brilliant results, but 80+ minutes of high tension... 🙂

Am away this weekend so miss the BOP v Harbour match. What a huge one that will be! Back in time for the final v Waikato though. That is assuming that Ta$man and Auckland maintain their current approach through semis. I can dream....
