Northland look dangerous to me. Looks like they've finally found their best side (through selection and returns from injury).

I don't care. Where is the hot chick?

@Machpants said in Championship Semi: Otago v Northland:

I think you should put her back, for posterity

This posterior should be shared by the sound of things.

    Otago $1.24 Northland$ 3.75

@Snowy surprised by those odds, i think Northland better on the form table, we're coming off two losses and starting to look tired

we need to be full strength to be in with a chance

@Kiwiwomble I think they could be a smidge closer, but realistically we had 4 losses (including a heavy one too Otago) on the bounce before last weekend, so not sure we have 'form'

@Kiwiwomble much interest down your way .?, checking out the local Otago Rugby FB site , there’s very little comment, under 500 turned up for the round robin game won by Otago .,sad to see such an impressive facility with very few people attending ,

I'm not so sure that magnanimous is your forte.

@Steven-Harris couldn't tell you to be honest, im in melbourne

crowds sized definitely seem to have dropped off during the NPC which is sad

Otago Rugby FB page has never really been somewhere for the fans to post

@Kiwiwomble the highlanders one seems to have more interaction (for Otago) from what I've seen.

someone on the Otago facebook page has claimed Vahaakolo is injured 😞 bit of a blow, Korori and Nareki have have the similar sevens light of foot style...would be nice having a "pin the ears back and make it over the line with someone hanging off you" type winger too

    Vahaakolo injury prompts backline reshuffle

Otago will be without Freedom Vahaakolo for tomorrow night’s semifinal. The electric winger is set to miss the side’s Mitre 10 Cup Championship...

this is kind of cool, says something about the culture in the team

“But just before the game on Saturday morning, [captain] Michael Collins comes up to me and says, ‘Do you know that Kayne hasn't scored a try in an Otago jersey’?”

“So, I thought, ‘hopefully he can get me one off me today’ and all of a sudden I turn my head and I see him [running a support line] and I think, ‘it's meant to be’, and I gave him the ball.”

@Kiwiwomble was quite surprising to see him do that, I mean could easy have been put down with Kane not really expecting a pass 2m out form the line...

@Kiwiwomble was listening to the Country Sport Breakfast this morning ,one of the hosts where the show is broadcast from down In Dunedin reckons they were in the office for meeting that at least a dozen people attended and 20 free tickets were left for people to take , at the end of the work day , not one had been touched..Sad state of affairs , if this game was up in Northland, you would be looking at 6-8 thousand crowd ..after all this is a semi final ..I guess the Taniwha won’t have to worry about the home crowd 😂

obviously a gamble, you'd hope someone running a support line would always be ready for the pass but yes, a gamble. Seeing it worked out im happy to take the good news story
