i think it's great we have a thread for the 2nd division.

It's not like we have threads for the Championship in English Soccer, or the G-League in the US, or the Q-Cup.

The little guys need their time in the sun too.

Huh? We made the final last year against @mariner4life's team (despite the fact his smack talk suggests the BOP are permanently ensconced up there).

Also, you're not even arguing with any Magpies fans about the name of the thread anyway (until now).

i guess all those promotion/relegation games have cemented in my mind our rightful place...

@Yeetyaah the Mickey Mouse final, involving a team that soundly beat a not so extraordinary premiership semi finalist a bit over a week ago...

Yep I took the bait 😉

@Siam yeah I'd be surprised if HB are paying more than $1.30 head to head, def thiers to lose.

Far and away the best team in the Championship since round 2.

Dream on mate! Northland don't stand that much of a chance.

    HB $1:12
    NL $5:70

@Hooroo mate, we are just lucky they are letting us play this game.

Argies were paying more than that a few weeks ago weren't they 😉

Out of interest, do they play it on a full rugby field - or the old half field using the sidelines to score tries? 🙂

While it can't offer free entry again on Friday night, the Hawke's Bay Rugby Football Union is still hoping for another big crowd backing the Magpies and is discounting 1500 extra seats in the Graeme Lowe Stand at $12.50 a seat, $20 off the usual $32.50 price.

HBRFU is offering cheap tickets for Friday night's final, aiming for another big turnout.

If you'd watched any of the Ranfurly Shield* matches this year you'd know Napier has a great full sized field and even some proper stands.

*Oh, the Ranfurly Shield is a challenge system where official provinces get to compete against the holder on their home ground. I assume it's not open to baabaas teams such as the Ta$man Chequebook Invitational XV Mako$ as it appears you've never held it?
