Who cares about Savea? We produce a lot of talented wingers. As people have said, if he is over weight just show him the door. There will always be a young talnted guy like Naholo coming through. Only Hurricanes fans should really be concerned. Savea at his best is still an asset for the AB's but we can find any Savea.

Most worrying is how poor Savea has been under the high ball this season.

As one punter said he was underwhelming last AB season bar the blockbusting , ball in wrong arm run against France. I think he was absolutely in danger of being dropped but for Naholo being hurt then screwing up his opportunity with dropped balls. Given Savea is not great under high ball and you would not call him the most versitile winger speed and fitness are imperative for his game and it is just amazing that he cannot find the motivation to eat right and stay in shape in the off and on season.

Thinks he runs well. Any kind of kicking game?

I assume you haven't watched the Chiefs then?

In saying that Laumape has looked better with each game - the Warriors could do with him right now (although the coach would likely have him in reserve grade). Sounds like he's loving it back in rugby going by his interview after the game, and wasn't that happy at the Warriors.

Laumape looks like a great ball runner. The rest of his game just hasn't been tested enough though.

I don't know what to say about that game last night. I think we definitely deserved the win and the bonus point. If that is the most undeserved BP ever then you probably didn't watch the first 20 years of Super Rugby. We dominated at the start and got out to a good lead which helped us in the end but we were poor for most of the middle period. I think we just lacked a bit of patience more than anything. Also Barrett didn't impose himself into the game.

I haven't watched the game yet. Any chance Halahola forced himself into a starting spot? Or will Proctor get a go next?

How deep does Barrett want to stand? Was pretty hard at times to get over the gain line when he was standing so far back all the time.

Was a bit odd, because on the news, he was saying how he likes to play flat and that he was going to take on the line more in this game, then come game time, he barely does any of the two.

Makes some good breaks but has not learned when to distribute the ball yet.

His "distribution" is slow and telegraphed. He plays too deep and I think he still shies from physical contact. (i.e, getting up in the face of the defence)

Barrett is very good at Super level but the battle for the starting 10 spot is between Sopoaga and Cruden. They are both streets ahead.
