He might be in attendance as a fan but he races Superstocks which is the premier class and Stockcars are the class that has greater restriction on high performance parts and tyres etc to keep costs down for the racers. They had the Individual NZ Champs for Stockcars at Meeanee about a month ago and there were something like 230 cars entered. It looked like a HB car would become NZ champion until a bloody Stratford car nailed our guy with just a couple of laps left.

@canes4life Holland was a former 1st 5 himself, so you would hope he has some idea of what the position requires. Maybe he is selecting in his image.

In attack and game management - they could all tackle better than him. Well, maybe not Tomkinsom, he could just tackle harder and much higher.

Things I noticed in those highlights:
- MMT looks leaner than last season
- Apart from the ugly tackle miss at the end, Gregory looked a different player than last season. Confident.
- Fakatava is going to cause some headaches.

Gregory was playing in the midfield, where he is much better imo

@machpants I said that when he got the start in the last game of SRA against the Highlanders I would say I don’t know why Canes management signed him but we know how they roll..

@machpants With Hickey gone, the Canes basically only have one ten, JGB, who is pretty average. Leger is a midfielder, Jordie and Love are fullbacks. Just shit recruiting.
