SRA: Final. Crusaders vs Chiefs

Guess I've been away too long and maybe a Canes fan too long. But I find it really hard to get too excited over a SRA title.

I think the longer I'm out of NZ, the less I care about provincial stuff, and the more I care about the AB's

It tells you something when you see the reactions of the Crusaders players it still means heaps even if it is 5 in row
Especially player like Whitelock , Taylor who have won a lot.

It was always going to be interesting to see if the Crusaders could rise for the 5th year in a row. They seemed out of sorts for periods until Codie got his card. From then on they were pretty dominant. Maybe it kicked them into gear - especially when they lost the Reece as well.

Yeah great to see the delight from the saders players and we saw how much it meant to the coach. Decent win....chiefs did really well to stay in touch but choked when it really mattered.

When Chch down to 13, the match was there for Chiefs. Instead they lost the plot.
Started with DMac aimless kick which RM punished and then they played like tyros.
By contrast, Chch stepped up and played what was in front of them, which wasn’t much.

It definitely makes for a better final when one team doesn't have to fly from Africa or Argie.

All the talk on the breakdown about MacKenzie and the clutch. When it really counted in the final Mounga had the clutch and MacKenzie melted under the pressure.
