I dunno why, but that Aussie commentator sounds like such an amateur.
Kind of befitting the game.@frank he does but I've warmed to the Aussie approach. Mehrts makes it clear that no one in the com box is taking themselves too seriously. Nice for a change from the kiwi way.
Oh and great to hear "Flanders" pronounced as it should be

Not sure what to make of his latest instagram post:
In the comments, everyone is wishing him a speedy recovery, so my guess is he'll be out for a while.

The Canes centre Aso, has to be one of the least appreciated players in NZ I reckon. He is a real solid player and would be playing every game if he moved to the Clan:beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I'm reminded of the default NZ Rugby fan when the ABs get outplayed: "You weren't that good - we just played like shit!"
@nta Generally that's true but after the pommelling by the Poms in Japan we at least acknowledged that we were completely and utterly outplayed all over the park. It was prefaced though by the scorn thrown at the selectors by some of their stupid selections for that particular game!!!!!!!

I thought it was an awesome try.
I went to watch the Rebels v Tahs earlier in the year and the Tahs attack was absolutely abysmal, so the weekends game was a marked improvement.

It's odd that you see a fun end-to-end 90m try and your reaction is to be angry about the standard of defence. What's the point of watching if you can't crack a smile at a play like that?
Yeah the tackling from both teams was questionable, but I enjoyed watching that game. I wouldn't want it every week but as a Tahs fan it was just nice to see them score a few tries.

@barbarian I did, and enjoyed it. My comment was that try, find by the ABs against a second tier defended (thinking off the upcoming Samoa game) would not have this forum jizzing everywhere.
