I don't think he's the five year future of the Chiefs back three, but there's still a good role for him in the 23 this year.

I think he is good value at fullback or on the wing. But Tupaea and Nankivell are not wingers.
Not much recruitment needed for next year but a linebreaking winger is desperately needed.
Wonder who will play lock this week? It sure has been a hoodoo position this year. -

Lord is out and Brown 50/50 so I'd be flying over someone ASAP. Ah Kuoi or Finau if available. What is the status of van den Hoven?

Burr is another 6 playing lock like Brown and Finau. He was at lock for the Chiefs Dev team so maybe could be the player they look to. No idea if van den Hoven is fit as he was selected and then withdrawn from the same Chiefs Dev team. BTW, Thomson looks to be playing for HOB in Waikato club rugby.
The simplest answer, of course, is to contact BBBR and suggest he might benefit from a game before the AB season starts.
