Perofeta converts and it ends up Taranaki 33 - 19 Hawkes Bay at full time

No arms tackle on Magpies player right in front of ref, not long after the Magpies make another one of their errors, Naki turn it over and score. Not sure what to make of this match. We were so shit we didn't deserve to win, yet the game was heavily influenced by average reffing. Hopefully this is the loss to focus us for the rest of the season.

Also did you guys see that little mulleted boy angrily celebrating that final Naki try, classic.

Maybe for a neutral, Hawkes Bay were so poor at basic stuff for too much of the game that there's no way I'd consider it entertaining. :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Dixon just called out the ref - "will check the tape" - but acknowledged they were shit themselves.

@nepia All part of the big gameplan. We clearly did not want to show any of our tactics etc in advance of the upcoming Shield Defence next weekend. Kind of like when we tanked that game bigtime against Harbour (and BoP to a lesser degree) last year.

Haven't read the thread but I'm fuming. We've been royally screwed by the officials in this game. Sure, we made too many errors and our halves let us down, but bloody geezus, that first Naki try was clearly held-up. The ref's on-field decision should have been "no try, TMO please check grounding". Then the try would have been correctly disallowed. Then, on the other side of the field, an almost identical situation, and he does exactly that: "on-field decion: no try, TMO please check". Try disallowed.

Then that Tiaan Falcon try. He. was. not. in. touch!

Also, the officiating of the rucks, where do I start?

We've been robbed! It should at least have been a 26-26 draw. F*ck. If the NPC is going to be like this, they're going to lose even a diehard follower like me.

Just read on twitter that the officials in this game were the same as in last year's away game against Taranaki, in which he also incorrectly disallowed a Magpies' try.

After googling Jono Bredin, it seems he wasn't very popular as a netball referee either.

By the sounds of it, he's just a shit referee in any sport he officiates.

How that try could have been disallowed ?
