    Quarterly update....

Feeling good, pretty fit, maybe a bit thicker and juicier than usual too but hey its winter so perfect time for it.

In the gym 5 days still (well mornings of course) and enjoying the training and cranking some tunes early in the am. Keeps the stress away as well as any effects from farther time. Feeling almost as strong as ever but probably fitter. No current injuries to report wooot!

Riding about 50km a week minimum, higher when can get out on the trails, maybe 70-80km. None of this sill road riding stuff though and still dont (wont ever) own any lycra.

Eating is same old. I train to eat in reality and am still a real pig when given the chance (stacks of treats at work and unfortunately at home too) but hey I burn the cals so can get away with it. Will look to tidy things around the end of next quarter with summer on the horizon.

John Meadows' 6-Week Plan for More Mass

John Meadows' 6-Week Plan for More Mass

Build muscle and push the limits of what you can do with "The Mountain Dog's" Project Colossus workout program.

Then this morning I heard that John Meadows actually passed away a day or so ago......freaky

@jk whoa! yeah man that is such sad news. The Mountain Dog was a primo guy and legend in lifting circles. I kind of wished he'd eased up after his first heart attack but that dude trained at a level I guess he just couldn't step back from. Only 49 as well, super sad.

    OK we back.

I was feeling like was in a really good lifting space just before lockdown. Was enjoying it and just feeling really good but for the first week and half I've done fark all plus also been sick which really hasnt helped. Thats gone now so time to get back in to it.

Late yesterday did bit of a primer workout. A bit of everything with not alot of weight. Good to get moving again and wasnt too sore this morning.

Sunday session was 5 rounds of Press ups, squats, sit-ups, kb swings, kb rows, kb side bends, overhead press, upright rows, RDLs, leg drops, front plate raises, ez bar curls, skull crushers, glute raises, plank. Approx 35mins

@jk nice...I just find the toughest thing is getting started in lockdown!

I been doing some 25-30 min HIIT type workouts with KB and resistance bands (find they are great assistance for single leg KB deadlifts)

AM missing the gym big time though

Yeah mate I think I've busted through that now and will keep it going.

I have a decent selection of weights and stuff here so should be able to find plenty of stuff to do. Have a 16kg and 20kg KB here so will plan some kettlebell hell for later in the week. Maybe even tomorrow.

    Aiming for 20-40mins too

Chuck these on your back for pushups, BOOMFA, instant resistance. Just do them when the other half isn’t around as I got told off because they might roll off and damage the floor.

The world is a gym if you’re imaginative enough, just pretend you’re in solitary confinement and training to fight the albino when you get out ( yes I have been watching Banshee again )

Haha I aready got heat about that this morning and whether my weights had damaged the floor.

We've got a real good space for it as have recently down bit of a reno on the garage by putting up some internal walls and building a separate workshop then tidying up the rest so its basically like a studio now.

Yeah fair to say a man cave for workouts/gaming/drinking will be on the cards at the place we’re buying. That set up you have looks ideal !

@mn5 makes a real difference eh. Cars still can go in as needed but we've got good private offstreet parking behind the house there so leave em out most the time. Kids play indoor football inside there too now.

Looking to get a wall mounted TV in there too shortly once I find the right one

Putting cars in a garage is a waste. I fully intend to use mine for working out, drinking, gaming, watching sport, brewing beer, making hot sauce and for sleeping guests.

3 rounds - 10 KB swings, 10 KB deadlifts, 10 KB cleans (per side), 10 KB sumo squats

    Workout w 24kg kettlebell - every 2 mins for 10 rounds.
    15 KB swings
