The depth in the Blues is a big step down from the starting 23 isn't it?

Real lack of cohesion in the blues.

Just watched and I think Ioane and Lowe made big ground over Gatland and ENS. Still wonder about Kaylum Boshier as a 7.

I liked the way Roe set up his backline. I just don't think the Gatland & Ratima combo works that well.

Frustrating number of penalties given away. Liked the work of Selby Rickett and of T Telea.

    Porous defense out wide.

New defence coach for the Blues this year.

That was Ekuasi who scored, not Sotutu.

Odd choice from Blues not to play a specialist 7 in this game.

Who would they play? Segner is injured and Papali'i isn't playing.

Blues need a lot of work with the backs they lack cohesion. RTS is not getting any quality ball. Plummer plays for himself and Nock seems off with his decisions.

@bobily2 Poor old Jonah Lowe. Scored 2 tries and the commentator didn't identify him correctly either time. 🙂

The Blues looked good when they got quick, front-foot ball but they are missing Tana's input on defence.

I think it will be ENS and Lowe on the wings.

I liked the way Roe set up his backline.

He wasn't getting much protection at the back of the ruck at times. McMillan kept the same halfback-1st 5 combos across both pre-season games. We never saw Ratima and Ioane.

Norris seemed to have the upper hand against Josh Hohneck - I think he has, at the very least, secured a spot on the bench for the first game.

Ethan de Groot also destroyed his opposite, though I think it was just Tevita Langi - so maybe not too impressive.

Did they look any better with Perofeta at 10?
