Just watched and I think Ioane and Lowe made big ground over Gatland and ENS. Still wonder about Kaylum Boshier as a 7.

I think it will be ENS and Lowe on the wings.

I liked the way Roe set up his backline.

He wasn't getting much protection at the back of the ruck at times. McMillan kept the same halfback-1st 5 combos across both pre-season games. We never saw Ratima and Ioane.

Norris seemed to have the upper hand against Josh Hohneck - I think he has, at the very least, secured a spot on the bench for the first game.

Ethan de Groot also destroyed his opposite, though I think it was just Tevita Langi - so maybe not too impressive.

Blues need a lot of work with the backs they lack cohesion. RTS is not getting any quality ball. Plummer plays for himself and Nock seems off with his decisions.

Did they look any better with Perofeta at 10?

Norris would be a strong chance to start as the other LH options (Ross, O'Neill) haven't been sighted yet and Moli looks way underdone. Probably Mafileo ahead of Ta'avao on the other side.

@bovidae O'Neill is out for the season.

Injuries no concern as Chiefs name side for pre-season clash with Moana Pasifika

Friday evening's match between the Chiefs and Moana Pasifika will give Chiefs coach Clayton McMillan a first look at how his squad is tracking ahead of the competition's February 18 kick-off.

Hopefully Dyer will be in main squad now. And maybe Florence or Mitch Jacobson for now? Tough for O'Neil though

I guess that O'Neill's replacement will depend on which position McMillan intends to play Moli. Dyer has been getting more gametime than Cobb and Profit.

Florence put his hand up on the weekend if he is needed anywhere. Looked like he should have been in the squad permanently.

anyone give a bit of an over view of the Landers? kind of feel we were just holding on even thought we were fielding pretty much full strength teams

Will probably see a lot more of the style they want to play in the real games but I thought they were just lacking enterprise in their play (for Super). Gregory made good ground quite often but usually then died with the ball as there was no support or anticipated runs off him.
Forwards seemed OK (against the Chiefs)
