Yep but I got a feeling they would both end up reuniting in the injury ward. Both seem pretty injury prone the poor buggers. I keep reading on the odd forum they are AB quality, and between them in last year they may have played 7-8 super games?

Shit, Tony Brown just said that both Frizell and Selby-Rickit look like they've done their ACL and that their season may be over. Injuries are always awful, but ACLs, that's really bad. Hope it's not as serious as he thinks it is.

Feel for both of them, SR is playing well and Frizzell is playing best rugby I have seen from him, best 6 in NZ this year bar none!

Lealiifano looks rejuvenated. He's looking sharp.

You can tell he really enjoys being in this team.

And leadership aside, Kepu is more like a passenger who is showing his age.

@bovidae just a starting point , there were not a lot of options around when this side was put together .

Yup. Not too surprised as he was struggling at NPC level.

He didn't look in good shape post match, so I'm guessing Lealiifano takes over as captain.

Ma'u was good off the bench. He is really powerful. His scrummaging seems to have improved but I would like to see him against a better opposition at scrum time.

@bovidae Kepu is well past it, but he's better at challenging referees than Leali'ifano is, and as @Steven-Harris said, there weren't many options when he signed. Hes still a decent leader though who does have something to offer this young group.

Hunt not really up to it this year, so frustrating to watch. I was absolutely screaming at the TV when his wayward pass indirectly led to MP getting a try shortly after scoring themselves.
Smith looks like an aging halfback, unfortunately. I think teams realize he is only distributing now and it is easy to defend against. At least Fakatava is finding his mojo again. Maybe it is time for Smith to start finishing games rather than starting. Do the ole switcharoo with the halfbacks.

I really don't see this. Most of the time I see a halfback with capabilities that aren't yet able to be utilised by his teammates. His distribution is out of this world but it seems most of the time those outside just don't "get it". I think if that starts to align more we'll see him running (which he was doing earlier in the season).
