I like to think he can turn it around, it's just atrocious (selfish) decision making, so just needs something to click in his head.

It's been a few years now...

He plays every play like he's under immense pressure.... perceived loss of pace in his head making him think he has less time? Just needs to chill and trust his teammates, surely someone can get through to him.

If there are hands on him when he goes to ground then it's a tackle.

Much in the same way that 'releasing' a player doesn't mean releasing your grip, it means taking your hands completely off the tackled player.

So yes, he was definitely tackled.
