MMT must have lost about a pint of blood during this game. I've seen the blood streaming from his head at least three times..

@Stargazer I reckon he's fitter this year MMT. Defensive workrate has stepped up.

    Great to get the win.

Some solid work from the boys up front. And the bench really upped the pace.

Well done Landers, what a way to guts it out. Man that Fakatava was something else coming on at the end there.

@KiwiMurph Yep, he's looking very strong, and not losing too much speed.

He was very good in the line-out and according to the stats from SANZAAR, he also made most metres of all Highlanders players.

Hopefully, last year was his 2nd year dip and will only improve from now. It looks like he's getting better and better.

He's pushing for an ABs spot and although I don't expect him to make it (this year), it's good to have him as a back-up in case injuries strike. I reckon he's close (closer than Grace, for example).

Reckon you could divide the season into pre-Billy and post-Billy Harmon based on that game. Nothing wrong with the tight five either. Timing the run to the final just perfectly.

Did Ethan De Groot play his best game so far last night ? He was dominant in the scrums and powerful in the loose. Good to see an All Black prop who can scrum and carry.

Well he was as he came on against a tiring Reds outfit, and that in no way taking away from his very good game. Even Smith reckoned he told him at halftime he was going to kill it when he came on, said the game was made for Folau.

I not sure what's wrong with Reds, I know they down a few players (who isn't), but they seem to regressing this year. I wonder if they rely on stars ie Tate, Tupou etc too much and forget the whole team has to do job.

@Dan54 Brad Thorne has expressed an interest in coaching the Wallabies. I wonder whether that's distracting him, but these results aren't helping his case.

He has done a pretty good job with the Reds the last few seasons. Losing to the Chiefs, Hurricanes and Highlanders in succession might just be a blimp.

I was living in Brisbane when Thorn firat took over and at almost all Reds games, really thought by this year they were going to be real top team, and just hasn't quite happend.
