Remember seeing Laubscher a couple of years ago playing for the Turbos against Counties Manukau just before his injury, looked outstanding that day as well on 18 on debut

A product of Palmerston North Boysā HighāÆSchool,āÆTyler LaubscherāÆsignedāÆto theāÆManawatÅ«āÆAcademy in 2019, making theāÆUnder 19s squad and debutingāÆagainst Bay of Plenty.
The South African-born loose forwardāÆimpressed to earn a Turbos debut in the final roundāÆof the seasonāÆā a win at home against Counties Manukau.
Comfortable at both blindside flanker and No 8 with his 1.94m, 104kg frame, Laubscherās game is built on that physicality which is part of the DNA of South African footy players. He is a powerful asset in and around theāÆruck, and over the ball.

@Canes4life hope the Canes coaches donāt go back to Princeep and Blackwell ..if you added Franks ,Coles and Ardie Savea ..thatās a handy pack in anyones book

The big question I still think for these coaches , who is your best back 3 , for me personally in a perfect world , my loose forwards would be 7.Savea,6 Flanders 8.Laubscherā¦given Flanders is out

I suppose you would have to stick to Blake Gibson , has actually played well this season ..@Steven-Harris Iād personally go Howden, Savea and Flanders with Iose, Laubsher, Kirifi and Gibson pushing hard. Obviously Flanders and Iose are injured so Iād like us to play Howden, Savea and Laubsher going forward.

His combo with Mikaele-Tu'u would be very beneficial to the Highlanders, but that will probably only happen if Frizell moves on.
At the same time, Mikaele-Tu'u is also off-contract (I think, not sure). So many questions ....

@Steven-Harris It will be interesting whether Flanders will actually stay at the Canes. His combo with Mikaele-Tu'u would be very beneficial to the Highlanders, but that will probably only happen if Frizell moves on.
At the same time, Mikaele-Tu'u is also off-contract (I think, not sure). So many questions ....

If Flanders keeps on cramping up then he can go. Laubsher looks decent enough that we probably wouldnāt miss him.
