Not a fan, but doesn't worry me over much if it helps get in someones head. And without knowing if anything was said earlier or anything I just shrug my shoulders.

Gatland was quite good again barring a couple of shit passes.

I though Gatland had a good first half but not so good in the 2nd.

Gatland always seems to hit a shitty patch somewhere in the game where he compounds errors. To his credit he also often pulls through it but it can let the opposition back in.

Our weakness is glaring and it is the back three. Those guys should be racking up tries given the forward pack and midfield but everyone else has to work extra hard to make up for them.

I was very impressed with the work of our loosies. They kept to a plan and didn't try and overplay their hand. To keep Hoopah out of the game was a big part of the win.

I agree, there seems to be something missing in Chiefs back 3, they look quite competent without having a real dangerous edge?
I will have to say I am enjoying seeing Brodie going well at lock, seems to be coming on well and I thinking more for ABs really it good timing!

I think physical niggle like that should be penalised. I say this because given the retaliation is often punished we are effectively giving the niggler a free hit. So, if we don't want the players protecting themselves we have to make sure we are protecting them.

Chiefs used to bring the niggle big time to the Saders back in the day. BBBR, Messam, Elliott and big Ben T would really get in their faces.
    And it worked.

Really, it's no different to sledging players etc, and I have seen players rub players heads almost every game I watch. And saw it etc in games I played in, and if you can get someone to react well.....
Did you ever see Kearns give the ABs the 2 fingered salute when he scored, is almost in rugby lore in Aus. Or just gently running a player off the ball when he chasing it, annoys the shit out of player getting interfered with in anyway, and hopefully puts him off game a bit. You think Nic White is checking player's health when he bends over and yells in his face when been tackled or penalised etc. I not keen on look, but have seen it (and maybe done similar) when I played. I think a few of you fellas have played rugby in pretty sterile teams if you haven't seen it.

All for it if the player on the receiving end can hit them back with a big fuck off. But they can't.

It depends a lot on how it's done as well. A cocky head rub and a grin pisses players off but I agree that you don't need to go full Itoje and scream in faces.
    Sometimes it is quite funny.

Looked to me like there may have been some verbals the other way earlier in the game because QT was very keen to make his point. It didn't look like a random act

@ARHS Why was Lowe a worry? He had a good game. Again.

Tahs first try. Lowe rushed way up and in leaving a gaping hole on the outside then was guilty of ball watching, turned into an area that already had cover. Left BBBR to put a chase in along with Weber, who had run straight toward the corner from the other side of the field as soon as the ball started moving that way. Good vision from Weber spotting the danger but he was always 10 metres to the side of the play.

It wasn't a one off either. He did similar a few times during the game.

Never noticed this from him before so hopefully a one off. It was good that he was passionate and did more than just be a role player (which is a criticism I have of Goodhue - he hasn't seemed to progress from being a role player to a leader in the Saders).

When you add in his flop that lead to a Tahs try his behaviour wasn't too different to what Reece has rightly copped flack for.

It’s very different to sledging or giving someone the double birdie - there is physical contact. Talk and gesture all you want, but once there is contact it should either be penalised or be like ice hockey

@Stargazer That was a beauty. Good to see Retallick putting a shoulder into it.

I really hope he can do that to all the other teams smallest guys this year 😁 he might be able to build up and do it to big guys in a few years!

If that is the case and not sure if it is, then that is even worse in my opinion because that means he allowed that talk to get to him.
