Personally, I"m getting excited already. Packed EP, can't wait. Bring it. If the Crusaders are good enough, fair play ... otherwise it's changing of the guard at long last

Just some fun, but I guess it's not really contributing to discussing the game. I think I've been here for nearly 20 years and that's the first time I've had a post deleted
I'm really looking forward to this game - with some of the possible suspensions and possible injuries, the Saders team could be very interesting, plus will Paps be back?

The reality is there was no good option for ref really.
Presumably Williams and Pickerell were ruled out due to being in the respective camps this season.
Gardner has his issues, Murphy is nowhere near the standard, Way is way too junior (no pun), I don't think Frasier has the big game experience.

fuck i hope this game lives up to expectations (not that i'll get to watch it) and both teams turn up and play to their ceiling. And the ref gets out of the way and lets the boys play. Has the potential to be a showcase that Super Rugby ain't dead yet.
I wonder about the mentality this week? Crusaders are in GF week for the 50th time in a row. For these Blues boys it's all new. Leon MacDonald will have his work cut out making sure they don't play the game a couple of days early.

@mariner4life I reckon the Blues will be fine. They have the experience of winning last year's final to draw back on.

It's not quite the same but the Blues played a final last year in front of ~32k and the game was relatively tight. There was plenty of pressure in that moment
When was the last time the Crusaders played an away final? 2017 in SA I think?
