it's annoying that the TAB only have the starting players listed for Last try scorer option.. would love to have a punt on Romano or Bridge

      https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/super-rugby-pacific-eden-park-to-release-unique-set-of-last-minute-tickets-for-competition-final/V4BBTQ5APHJLJTDQRRWDMUOMX4/

Over 45,000 tickets have already been sold for the season finale of Super Rugby Pacific between the Blues and Crusaders on Saturday night - the first fixture to fill every seat at Eden Park since the opening Bledisloe Cup test last August - but this morning Eden Park Trust chief executive Nick Sautner told Newstalk ZB that the stadium has worked out a unique way to pack a few more fans in.

"We've been working with the Blues and we've implemented a standing-room area on the field of play - something unique, given the demand for the event has been unprecedented," Sautner said.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, 20 years since the Blues' last success in 2003 so we're just excited to be able to provide this limited area and opportunity for fans."

The chance to watch a premier rugby event from the sidelines, surrounded by over 45,000 screaming rugby fans, can be taken up at midday today via the Ticketmaster website.

Along with the sideline-based tickets, Sautner said that there would also be a limited release from the stadium's members and corporate areas.

I have mixed feelings about this game. On the one hand, being a Sader supporter, I want the Saders to win. But, and I feel very dirty for admitting this, I wouldn't mind seeing the Blues get up. Blues have a number of players that I am hoping will help turn the ABs around and if they don't win I will find it a tad disconcerting.

This game really feels like a case of good vs evil.

The Blues, the plucky but positive underdogs trying to do something good for NZ rugby and the world as a whole vs the cold, calculating and ruthlessly efficient Crusaders determined to preserve the status quo and crush all dissent. (much like Communist China)

That reminds me of the good old days in front of the embankment at Lancaster Park during the Shield reign. They used to allow people to stand in front of the embankment because it was so full. A

Yes. But I can see the efficiency of the Saders mauls winning the game for them.

We'll still have the best stadium in NZ, but I'd love another title to go with it

                              WHAT????

The team from New Zealand's largest and richest city, that has plundered the cream of the nation's coaching and playing stocks - playing in their home stadium against a bunch of poor boys from the back blocks - in a competition where 26 teams have consecutively won their home matches.

It will be an undoubted crushing of the Southerners, unless...unless....one man.... can stand for all of us...

What do you mean, Flash Jordan approaching.... 🙂

Not sure what the TAB are paying but surely the Blues should be the favourites? Top qualifiers
                                    and playing at home.

If we look at the respective teams the only advantage the Saders have on paper is in the second row with two AB locks and at 15. I reckon the front row evens itself out (possible advantage Blues on the bench), and the Blues on paper have it over the Saders in the loose forwards (3 current ABs v 1 Puma). Half Back has advantage to Blues given they have a current AB there. First five is even (two erratic but at times brilliant players). Blues have the advantage in the midfield, the wings even themselves out and the Saders have the edge at 15.

But, and I feel very dirty for admitting this, I wouldn't mind seeing the Blues get up. Awesome post and I’d feel the same way if the chiefs were there.

I think its a good recognition of the fact that Blues are also just fucking entertaining, in a way that no other team is even close to at the moment.

They are well captained and really hard to hate.

Mate I think the Blues will win,They have been the best team all season, the Crusaders have been inconsistent for large parts of the season. They have frustrated me this year with some sloppy handling and rushing passes.
If the Blues win and there is no BS Ref decisions either way then good on them.
No grumbles from me if they do.
