Man that was sublime footy from our boys.

Springer, Godfrey, Rova, Bell, Hotham, Lakai, Higgins, Cashmore all superb. Great signs for the future.

Not bad from Argentina. Their first Oceania U20s tournament and finishing above Australia.

@Canes4life Spark Sport doesn't post highlights clips on YouTube. Only on their own site, so subscribers only. The All Blacks account doesn't post them either. That's also why we haven't been able to post highlights of the other games. 🙁

@Stargazer Lots of talent for NZ Super franchises next year. Wonder how they would stack up against Northern Hemisphere and South African sides.

@SBW1 Yes, this has been a good year, but unfortunately, not able to test them against the best of the U20 Summer Series. I'd like to see them do well in NPC first, before we're talking NZ SR franchises. For some this may be their ceiling.

The U20 World Cup will be back next year, but a lot of this year's players won't be eligible anymore.

No doubt there will be more, but at this stage I only know that Godfrey will still be eligible. Players who were overlooked because of their age, I assume that's why Cooper Flanders wasn't in the squad, will also come in. Basically, players who were in the 2021 NZ schools squad will probably be among the main contenders and some other players who have matured into good prospects.

Finn Hurley and Taylor Cahill will be eligible for next year both were in that 2021 Schools team.
Macca Springer is still only 19 I think he qualifies as well as he is not 20 until next year.

@Chris Good to hear that some of this year's crop will still be eligible!

With the addition of guys like Flanders, Chicago Doyle and Taha Kemara from that same squad, there are already a few good names for 2023.

    That's the million dollar question.

I haven't seen any of these games but as I said when the 2022 squad was announced, I think that the 2021 squad was stronger. Watching some of the highlights from the NH U20 tournament both SA and England look strong, and France has been dominant at that level in recent years.

@Bovidae I saw some of the Aussie guys training and from what I could see, it wouldn't have surprised me if a good portion of their squad were Kiwis.

    Jeremiah Asi
    Ajay Faleafaga
    Torian Barnes
    Che Clarke
    Siale Lauaki (again)
    Essendon Tuitupou

Pretty impressive moving a country in the South Atlantic into the Pacific!

@cgrant Spark Sport doesn't post highlights videos on YouTube or social media, only on their website for subscribers, unfortunately.

I had a quick look on YouTube and Stan doesn't seem to have any highlights either. From the tweet above maybe they don't have the rights to do that.
