Plummer and DMac putting on a rocks and diamonds show.

How impressive does Lam continue to be? Rayasi on the other hand just looks far too casual when he looks like he should be dominating.

The Auckland Half backs passing is terrible.

Is there a tougher rooster in the game than DMac? Guy must be made of silly putty.

I really don't like it that players are penalised for not rolling away, when they are intentionally prevented from rolling away by an opposition player stepping over him.

So they let the clock run as Sullivan just strolls back on side after the whistle went and he’s run 60m?

There was an okay crowd, problem is the they close off the opposite side to where the main camera is pointing so it looks empty.

That looked to be one of the bigger NPC home crowds.

If Waikato was more accurate we could have scored twice as many tries. Work experience all over the place as ref again.

30-15 was a good win for Waikato

McKenzie was a mixed bag. Looked very good during the first half but had a poor spell in the 2nd. Poor line clearance, poor pass then a charged down clearing kick resulted in an Auckland try.

Yeah DMac has been hot and cold so far, but has played a big part in putting players into holes to score tries. It was obviously a tactic to kick behind or through the Auckland defensive line last night.

When Waikato last played Auckland the size of Rayasi and Lam caused major problems to the smaller Waikato back three but they didn't do too much damage in this game.

Shit it’s inspirational to see Liam Messam still running around. Even if it is a Mickey Mouse competition. Loads of guys of his era are long retired. Great testament to his fitness and conditioning.

I only got to see the highlights, and even then he gave them one try so the rocks and diamonds remain. However, Dmac's ability to pass into the player in space is probably unmatched by any other 10 in NZ.

Then, there is is goal kicking and ability on the ball. He needs to go on the end of year tour and it is time to find out if he is or can seriously be an Ab 10 at the next level.

He is quite probably at least the third best 10 we have, but like you alluded to in your post he is a bit erratic. Like our top two 10s.

This is his strength at the moment. Perfectly timed bullets for hole runners. Beautiful rugby.
I do like his speed of thought for the kicking game as well. Sums up where the gaps are well to get the opposition back pedalling.
Comes with the odd rotten grape in the bunch of course but it is entertaining.
