Ireland a bit crap in the 2nd but wales insisted on scrupulously looking the gift horse in the mouth. Ireland with the bonus try and ease away.

Ireland didn't really have to get out of 1st gear in this match. Gats the great redeemer will have a lot of redeeming to do.

Ireland are going to run out easy winners and they haven't had to do much.

Hugo Keenan got Man of Match. I'd have given it to Dorris.

They're the 6N team I try and support, but Wales have been crap. Boys against men at time today.

EDIT: Think Karl Dickson has had a good game overall.

All over. Wales 10 Ireland 34.

Ireland look organised. Gatland has a lot of work to do.

Warburton makes a lot of sense. I'd rather have him than Tipuric out there.

Turned out to be a pretty easy day for Ireland and they get defend another match with the Raeburn Shield

Excited to see France have a go at taking it next week. The French haven't held it since 2009!

The biggest change Gatland needs to make in his second tenure is to eradicate our slow start

We failed to capitalise on good, created opportunities because we were always chasing the game

    Hawkins was excellent

    The 14 pt killed us

Did Ireland get any YC? Only saw highlights

One thing can be said though

Ireland won’t win the 6N let alone the WC

Some fucking odd refereeing in that game. I hope the luck of the Irish runs out in the upcoming quarter final.

Ireland: 15 Hugo Keenan, 14 Mack Hansen, 13 Garry Ringrose, 12 Stuart McCloskey, 11 James Lowe, 10 Johnny Sexton (c), 9 Jamison Gibson-Park, 8 Caelan Doris, 7 Josh van der Flier, 6 Peter O’Mahony, 5 James Ryan, 4 Tadhg Beirne, 3 Finlay Bealham, 2 Dan Sheehan, 1 Andrew Porter
Replacements: 16 Rob Herring, 17 Cian Healy, 18 Tom O’Toole, 19 Iain Henderson, 20 Jack Conan, 21 Conor Murray, 22 Ross Byrne, 23 Bundee Aki

@Bones Ireland 1 up Scotland with 4 in their backline 😉

Joking aside you do have to wonder how much player movement to countries not of their birth/origin has created a more level playing field in international rugby.

Scotland would have done just fine with someone born and bred on the left wing. I don’t think there’s much in it.

It looked like my club, who don't train together as a XV often enough. First half it is all pretty ordinary then we're warmed up and often outscore sides in the second half.

IMHO Porter should have received one for diving on the player (Williams The Fullback) after he scored.

Ireland were on a warning late in the first half for pissing about at ruck time.

Ireland are a good but not great side. They dominated the first half, and it was only a 70m intercept that made the scoreboard reflect that. They are methodical, relentless and patient, but they struggle to put points up.

Wales made a couple of defensive changes at half time and stopped the Irish attack dead until that soft yellow.

Wales are fucking average though. Their attack sucks because Biggar is slow of thought, they don't work hard enough off the ball, and they are committed to wide skip passes that don't draw defenders.

Garlands old men were fucking average too. AWJ, Tipuric and Faletau were liabilities, too slow of foot. They also aren't fit enough

Like the young 12 Hawkins though he's a ripper. Williams is still class too.

Learned nothing new about either side. And thr middle third of the game was fucking boring.

    Sexton's a ballsack.

    So is Porter.

Certain people like to carry on like Ireland are saints of the game but they've got some right fluffybunnies in green, so they have.

    Who are those “people”?
Ireland and their fans can be the whingiest bunch of obnoxious fuckers around at the moment and Sexton sets the tone.

But that was almost every game under Gatland in his first shift 😞
