Enjoy landing at Welly Airport guys.

I think they fly directly to Kapiti, nevertheless it will be windy.

@Canes4life To Kapiti, or to Palmerston North? I think that's what they did, last time.

@Stargazer there is an airport in Paraparaumu so I'd say they will land there.

Several All Blacks return for this game, but not all.

No Scott Barrett, Mo'unga, Blackadder, Reece and Ennor, yet.

          Is George Bell still injured?

Squad members Goodhue, Patafilo, Strange and Kemara played last Friday, but are not in this line-up; not even as replacements, but some non-squad members are still there.

          FROM THE PRESS RELEASE
While head coach Scott Robertson is wheeling out seven All Blacks against the Hurricanes, he’s keeping just as many – Richie Mo’unga, Scott Barrett, Sevu Reece, Braydon Ennor, Ethan Blackadder, Jack Goodhue and Will Jordan – on ice.
Only Jordan (migraine-related condition) and Ennor (ankle) are unavailable due to injury, although the latter is expected to be available to play the Chiefs in Friday week’s season-opener in Christchurch alongside the team’s other representatives.

@Canes4life Yeah, I know that of course, but there are no scheduled flights from Chch to Paraparaumu. They'd have to hire a charter, which is far more expensive than flying to Palmy. The difference in distance between Levin and Paraparaumu Airport (45km) and between Levin and Palmy Airport (55km) is negligible.

Team looks pretty average imo. Razor will have his work cut out making this squad competitive.

The Canes have plenty of talent of their own so I don’t think it will be one sided but it will be interesting to see what sort of side they put out. I’m hoping the likes of Lakai and Higgins get plenty of minutes to show what they’ve got considering they are the future.

The Crusaders 2nd half backline is a bit make shift with Gaulter,Murray and Robinson the back 3. And bench players like Gallagher,Kellow,S Havilli,Hannah,Lio-Willie in the forwards,The First half will be interesting.

Interesting to see Barrett,Reece,Blackadder,Mounga,Ennor going into the First Rd with no pre season minutes and Goodhue with just 30 minutes.

Agree. I will wait for the team first though. Like you I hope Lakai and Higgins get a run. Not only pre-season but throughout the year at least in a small number of games. I'm keen to see how they go the next level up.

Be a good test of where the Canes are at at present. Hopefully its not a hiding

The Canes have plenty of talent of their own so I don’t think it will be one sided but it will be interesting to see what sort of side they put out. I’m hoping the likes of Lakai and Higgins get plenty of minutes to show what they’ve got considering they are the future.

Agree. I will wait for the team first though. Like you I hope Lakai and Higgins get a run. Not only pre-season but throughout the year at least in a small number of games. I'm keen to see how they go the next level up.

They should both get a few minutes considering Barrett and A Savea will need to be looked after as it's a WC year.

Ennor is injured again? Had a bad run.

Yeah been a bit unlucky lately.

TBF, it balances out, unlucky with injury, but lucky with AB selection.

                                          Yeah that is fair.
