That's harsh - can't believe they rubbed that out. Makes a mockery of the game when there's no conclusive proof he was out, but James Lowe can stand a metre out and be awarded a try.

That did not look clear and obvious to me.

Still trying to figure out what the 2 Tahs locks were doing when Wright snuck past Edmed for the first try. Fun game, Tahs have plenty of work to do, very sloppy at times.

Great to see Tamati Tua firstly nailing a starting place in the Brumbies playing XV and putting in a solid shift , some nice little handling touches that I have not seen in his game before.
Can only get better at this level with game time and could turn into a good combo with Len Ikitau
Thought Rob Valentino especially along with Pete Samu were excellent.
Some good young wingers coming through in Aussie Rugby .

Loved watching SBW play both codes. Incredible footballer

But I wouldn't care if I never heard him speak again

Enjoyed that game as well, I thought Brumbies went pretty ok, even if they did help me to be 0-2 in my picks FFS!! As I said good game for first up, enjoyed opening night of super immensly.
Only little grumbles/things I noticed were:
I did actually look at game clock on TV a few scrums as I thought Berry was having a little trouble getting them to form, the 3 I timed were 40, 46 and 50 seconds, while still ok, maybe he will be told to move them along a bit quicker. And the only other thing that got me was Morgan Turunui in the commentary, Jorgenson was a Superstar, and when the Brumbies left winger scord it was another superstar try, a little over the top. But that is all minor and just trying to expect top stuff every game!

Yes, he looks like he has spent a little bit more time in the gym.
Defense may be the area of focus for him this week. I saw him drop off a couple of tackles (one led to a Waratah try) but, overall, a good first up effort for the Ponies.

@Pepe yea he has always had an issue with falling off some tackles, although on one he fell off that lead to a try, the guy did go to deck, so unsure it would have stopped the try if he had held on.

@Dan54 They’re trying too hard with the labels but if I’d been an Aussie rugby fan the past decade I’d be looking for the next superstar too!!

Was funny when they said ‘we don’t need to see Jorgensen’s dad anymore.’

Quite possibly the increased pace and duration of play will benefit the teams with better skills. In an oxygen deprived state, those players will make better decisions and execute more accurately.

Wallabies prop Angus Bell is facing a second consecutive season on the sidelines and a race against time to make his first World Cup squad after re-injuring his foot in the opening round of Super Rugby.

Bell ruptured the ligament in the big toe on his right foot in the first half of the Waratahs’ opening-round loss to the Brumbies in Sydney on Friday night

Scans over the weekend revealed it was the same injury that ended his Test season last year. He faces four to six months on the sidelines and was considering further surgery on the foot, the Waratahs said.

There was a bit of talk about him coming in without any warm up games beforehand. Not a great look for the back office if he's returned with...
