Locking PGS to New Zealand looks criminal now.

@antipodean I doubt he'd make the Fijian back row...

Shit pass stole any momentum or opportunity. Followed up by an even shitter kick pass to the right.

Gatland? He's been watching too much Beauden.

Samepeni Finau made a big statement tonight. Look forward to seeing him v Crusaders. His physicality is a stand out.

Great to see Wrampling back. Rona looked a bit lacking in vision tonight whereas Gideon was sharp. Ollie Norris was v good too in front row.

Ravutaumada and Ikanivere were inspirational for Drua. Great goal line defence too. An enjoyable watch except for a 20 minute patch in second half.

The rain was much worse than it may have looked on TV, so the ball handling from both teams was bloody good in those conditions.

5 pts, no injuries and the return of some players meant it was a good night.

Again, I'm underwhelmed by MSR around the field. He's a lightweight who doesn't make dominant tackles or be an effective ball-carrier. The scrum looked much better when Lord replaced him.

Wrampling has the ability to run over the first defender, which is always a great attribute to have for a midfielder.

Some big selection decisions for McMillan for the Crusaders game.

If no Nankivell or ALB, Wrampling starts ahead of Rona in my view. I want us to start with Finau over Sowakula also. Chiefs need to make a full frontal assault in first half, then play in right part of field thereafter. I would like Norris to start too and possibly Lord starts with Vaii on bench.

Hopefully Nankivell is back, otherwise I expect Rona to start again. Wrampling is being used as a 2nd 5, like Poihipi, so one of them would have to play out of position as a combination.

Who starts at 6 will be the big call. Watching the replay today, I was interested to see Finau say he is about 1.96 m/118 kg, so taller and heavier than officially listed.

It's strange because he used to do well in that regard. Ahh well fuck you MSR, highlanders stuck by you and you flipped the bird, I'm not fussed if you get worse.

@Bovidae I'd like to see more of wrampling he seems to have the x factor with his ability to beat defenders I'd start him at 12 with poihipi on the bench

Lord seems to have put a good number of Kg on his frame.

If no Nankivell or ALB, Wrampling starts ahead of Rona in my view.

Hopefully Nankivell is back, otherwise I expect Rona to start again. Wrampling is being used as a 2nd 5, like Poihipi, so one of them would have to play out of position as a combination.

I want us to start with Finau over Sowakula also.

Who starts at 6 will be the big call. Watching the replay today, I was interested to see Finau say he is about 1.96 m/118 kg, so taller and heavier than officially listed.

Geez that Finau has the looks of a bloody good blindside, and has for a couple of years! Really excited to see how far he goes.
