I think the advantage line stat was more about line speed than lack of physicality, particularly in the first half. <br><br>
Their defense was superb, highlanders put massive pressure on them inside the 22. And excellent ruck pressure at crucial times<br><br>
Dominated the rolling maul every time too. -

<p>I thought initially it would be a clear try - but, he had the ball out in front of him as he lunged for the line and then somehow it ended at his hip - so not sure how he couldn't have lost it.</p> -

There's more than one style of play of rugby, if all you want to see is big flashy guys running in open play then go watch the Olympic sprints or crossfit games.<br><br>
I really enjoyed the game, a big part of that was the physicality brought by the brumbies.</p></blockquote>It doesn't require big flashy guys running in open space to be enjoyable for most people to watch, but a bit of skill and flair to go with the physicality would certainly go a long way. They play a dreadful style of rugby, its no wonder people dislike them for it.<br><br>
I dunno about anyone else, but I hate seeing 5 minutes of scrums in the one spot all because the team with the ball refuse to pick it up and play rugby, to instead try to milk penalties (or a penalty try because they can't get one any other way).<br><br>
Booooring.<br>

For the same reason I'd love England and South Africa to be strong again, the best test matches were always the tight low scoring ones in my opinion.<br><br>
Anyway, highlanders deserve the win, I'm not disputing that. -
Larkham looks like he can't believe they lost. He's a shit coach, which surprises me given he was such a smart player. <br><br><br>
Timmy Horan if you walk your own scrum around the corner because you're going nowhere you don't deserve a penalty. -

<p>Genuinely lucky to win that the Highlanders. Some of the stupidest rugby I've seen for quite some time. Errors and idiocy kept the Brumbies in the game who but for a camera angle, could have won.</p>

<p>Brumbies lineout let them down badly on the night. Lost confidence that they could put together a winning rolling maul at the death - when that's been their go to play.</p>

<p>Squire, Dixon and Aaaron Smith probably the best for the clan, though AS won't look back at his final touch with much pleasure.</p>

<p>I like different styles of rugby - I just like to see a forward oriented game played skillfully. If you are going to play a forward game you should probably make sure you kick accurately and the Brumbies didn't do that.</p> -
The conditions were shocking but I still liked the endeavour of the Landers. Decision making let them down though rather than bobbling slippery ball. <br><br>
Faddes and Osbourne particularly guilty. <br><br>
Wasn't a fan of the chipping and would've liked to see more garry owens. <br><br>
Brumbies were pretty effective defensively and that one inside ball to Tevita was a good move. But overall they lost confidence in their lineout and their best attacking weapon. <br><br>
