Manawatū have improved a lot in the second half, but I think Taranaki playing its third game of stormweek also plays a big role.

Another player from the 2019 Hastings Boys' Top 4 champions team making his NPC debut: Julian Goerke.

Game of two halves, Taranaki just getting through another 40 minutes for the 2nd half.
Funny hearing the commentators talking up how awesome the Manawatu lineout had got going, be a bit disappointing if they didn’t with no locks and 3 hookers on the field for Taranaki!

@Steven-Harris One of Auckland's best last year, unlucky not to be starting at six or eight this year.

@Tim hes my wife’s Whānau , really good bloke during the pandemic he volunteered his time down at the Henderson drive through when initial swabs for COVID were being done , intelligent thinker when it comes to rugby.
