The Irish will have too much for us in attack and I feel will fairly easily soak up our one dimensional “attack”. I read somewhere that Bill V for all his carries had a net gain of one metre.

Strong Ireland starting side, only really Doris from who will start at RWC, and he's on the friggen bench.

Can't see this current England iteration troubling them too much

And that’s not far off a full England side

I think this is terrible coaching from Borthwick

Regardless of what 99% of the rugby world thinks of Farrell’s tackle and hearing, the system in place exonerated him and he was free to play this weekend

He’s a big enough character to have shouldered the boos, and the sideshow may have been a big enough distraction to throw Ireland off their game

By dropping him, Borthwick has told World Rugby Farrell should be banned for a significant amount of matches

There is no fucking way NZ, SA or Aus would be dropping their captain and talisman

@MiketheSnow he should have named him, more so if he expected the card to be reinstated and a ban enforced, that way if it happened before kick off (highly unlikely as that will be now) this would count as a game, but if he fails to select him, then this surely cant count as a missed game

@MiketheSnow There is if there's a thought that this game could count towards any ban that results from the appeal.

It doesn't matter whether he was named or play or not, this game will still count towards his ban (assuming he's handed one).

@Mr-Fish if he hasn't been selected, it shouldn't, but we know it's all lip service anyway.

Just a circus side show after WRs judicial process has been shown to be flawed.

Farrell is a shit for not sorting out what is clearly an issue, although given he keeps getting away with it, why would he, but he also shouldn't have to deal with the side show.

Is somewhat ironic that his dad coaches Ireland, who would have to have one of the more disciplined defences in the game...

If a bit-part Super player gets a three-week ban, it's not like he misses the whole season just because he would normally never get selected.

If I was England's coach during a heated RWC match I'd be concerned. RWC refs are not going to be lenient.

Expecting Ireland to win this and if they do they go second all time for longest runs with the Raeburn Shield

                                https://twitter.com/RaeburnShield/status/1692803994999984353?t=oEYNmhfXw2siRR54gmRFnA&s=19

Still a reasonable distance to NZ but if they go undefeated and win RWC they could take that record too!

England kicking game is shite. Attack is one-dimensional.

                                      Forwards doing OK.

No appetite for the game amongst England players. Dont know if this is playing to script or whether they just dont want any injuries.

Missing touch from a penalty, then dropping the return kick. England look at 6 & 7's when they have an opportunity.
