Have Faleafaga, Hurley and Lio-Willie to dot down. More than 2.5 tries in the first half and Otago to win. Come on Hurley and Lio-Willie!

Loose at the rucks it's just all go...not much being called.

Stags will struggle to come back from here... Stags handling and ball retention has been poor all season so far. Great to see us getting a couple of tried... would like to see Mason in space more ...he's rapid

@Mattasaurus fantastic to see him making a good fist of first class rugby. Otago somewhat ignored him due to his perceived size issues. Which is strange when thinking of our love of Hurley

I don't think it's a good look to have a local ref. They should be neutral to avoid any perception of bias.

Big Stags fan here.... Happy with ref...though there was a shepherd he missed... But otherwise much what you expect in NPC....I mean he's no Englishman 😉

So many side stories in this game. The Whaanga brothers. Withy the former captain of Southland Boys. Him and Hurley both coming from down there. With the wider Otago squad also including Jack Taylor's older brother Henry, Will Stodart and Cam Millar. Southland having Manson, Whaanga, Ferguson, McKee? and Ta'eiloa from Otago originally. Certainly plenty of feeling.

Also is there more fizzed man out there than Morgan Mitchell. That is a man who has old school hate for Otago and pride in Southland!

Jeez watching this - we sure could have done with this hunger and passion last night. These boys - both sides - really want the win.

Both teams managing to exit 22 a lot better than a team I watched this morning 😂

@Stargazer Yes for a moment I thought my eyes had deceived me. Didnt realise two brothers, different teams.

Thought that too. Also that munter Otago lock really putting his body on the line, couple of good steals at the bottom of the ruck. Could have done with that last night as well.

Not sure the rucks are being policed correctly.(not favouring either team).. but refs "style" has helped create a loose ruck with lots of turnovers
