@Number-10 said in Hawke's Bay v Bay of Plenty:

    Hawke's Bay team

    15 Harry Godfrey
    14 Ollie Sapsford
    13 Nick Grigg
    12 Chase Tiatia
    11 Jonah Lowe
    10 Lincoln McClutchie
    9 Brad Weber
    8 Devan Flanders
    7 Josh Kaifa
    6 Josh Gimblett
    5 Tom Parsons (capt)
    4 Geoff Cridge
    3 Joel Hintz
    2 Tyrone Thompson
    1 Pouri Rakete-Stones

    16 Kianu Kereru-Symes
    17 Tim Farrell
    18 Bo Abra
    19 Frank Lochore
    20 Sam Smith
    21 Folau Fakatava
    22 Stacey Ili
    23 Paula Balekana

Return of Brad Weber and Jonah Lowe. No Marino Mikaele-Tu'u.

Highlanders bias showing perhaps, but feels rough for Fakatava, who has been very good from what I have seen, to be dropped straight back to the bench on Weber's arrival?

@frugby The fact is we have two good halfbacks so they’ll be rotated. Blame it on Foster, one of them should be in the ABs right now.

Cashmore ruled out. Hawera starting at 10. Tanimo starting at fullback. Tamiro Armstrong coming onto the bench in 23.

Hmmm. AB's don't front this morning, and now backline injuries on top of injuries. One of those days at this rate...

@Steven-Harris I may be one-eyed, but that drop from Ili wasn't sudden either. I hope they check it again, because that might meet the red-card treshold.

I despair how we judge these tackles now. That's very different from deliberate foul play.

Yes, some hometown officiating there. HB were offside when BOP was camped in the 22 m but no calls.

Congrats to the Steamers, a deserved win. The cards were fully deserved, but if you can't score with a man more on the field (for a time, 2), then you don't deserve the win.

Not good seeing Godfrey getting injured. It looked bad.

The refs by the way missed a dangerous tip tackle in which Sapsford landed on his neck/head near the end of the game.
