I thought it odd at the time they did not check it, perhaps they simply did not have the footage but you would think that would be standard. Anytime someone can block a conversion surely they need to check if they were onside. I guess we will never know if he would have kicked the conversion but that is not the point. I do wonder if they will introduce the offside technology they use in soccer in Rugby when chasing kicks etc.

@canefan Ramos has a slow run up and kicking action. He'll be working on that for sure!

About 5 pages behind, but in the meantime ...

... watching Between Two Posts on Stan.

25.25 in they show the Kolbe charge down end on.

I reckon he's bang on the split second as Ramos lifts his right foot.

I'm saying the chargedown was fair.

    Hate myself.

i guess the question is when does Ramos start his run up, did he move in any direction before Kolbe crossed the white wash - i am not sure he did, but i'm not certain he didn't

Whilst I know you're getting shit answers I'll try and be serious ...

... if I could take one guy from the other teams ... After long and considered err consideration...

    ... Etsebeth.

And that's even with our talent at lock. Not sure who I would drop though.

Parsons at 16.13. Smith hand on ground, which BOK didn't see. Correct decision penalty France:

So we have endless replays for non-scoring events, but TMO can't tell ref he made a clear mistake? With ten to play in RWC quarter!

France only had themselves to blame for not taking that, but completely sympathise with ADP's view of reffing.

Lots of French whinging but in the sequences several clear misses by BOK. What it explains is how Bok breakdown work was so effective in last 25. Suspect a NH ref would have killed them.

@pakman 26:22 - SA using "rolling subs". Can coaches call for an HIA via their team doctor?

World Rugby need to cut comms between team doctors and coaches. It needs to be an independent assessment so that the integrity of the sport is not compromised. Team doctors are not there tactically!

Bok coaches are not doing anything illegal, but I can't imagine this "clever thinking" will be allowed to stand post this world cup.

@pakman 2023...2007 revenge of the Kiwis 馃槂

(joking if there are any French fans lurking)

NZ had a similar video in 2007 in the QF against France. I didn't hear any French players, coaches and supporters complaining about the rub of the green.

Regarding the transgressions in the video, I did agree with a fair number of them, especially the Boks sealing antics at the breakdown which I think will get them in bother on another day. I thought Etzebeth's knock back was borderline, but I thought that he was lucky to get yellow for the head contact.

have to say, i noticed most of them during the game, not just when they're slowed down. Wonder what BOK's review was like after the game, if some of that ruck work and leading with forearms was highlighted to him then i'd expect him to be stricter on both teams on Saturday. Doesn't bode well for Tuilagi...

So many misses at the breakdown from BOK to be fair

At critical times in excellent field position

@MiketheSnow Now do one focusing solely on the French. Given the possession/territory stats, I'd wager there were fewer incidents, but I bet there were some.

    Big calls were:

    1. Etzebeth knock down - debatable. If forward, penalty try and yellow card

    2. Etzebeth head contact - BOK did his part, the bunker decided it wasn't a red

The Boks gave the French a taste of their lazy rolling, ruck flopping medicine. I'm not feeling much sympathy for them given how often they get away with it themselves 馃槂

@stodders Yes, I expect Rassie could also find a few French indiscretions which BOK missed!
