Every other ref, that's advantage over. Probably a good thing he's moving on. So much basic shit wrong.

Big crowd. Why is this being played in Hamilton?

Juicy Fest concert festival at North Harbour meant they had to re-lay the field and due to the hot summer conditions the field isn't ready in time (noting Moana have moved bases from Mt Smart to Albany).

    Amateur hour.

Pretty poor half from Moana and are probably lucky not to be down by a bit more. Poor in every aspect so far, especially set piece, an area that they haven't been too bad in to start the season.

    @Duluth

Sakalia said Navigation Homes Stadium in Pukekohe wasn’t up to standard for broadcasting a Super Rugby game, so the next closest was Waikato Stadium.

I had thought of going to this game.

Hopefully MP holds onto the ball.

Rebels have looked reasonably good at times, especially opening 10 - 15mins .... good fast ruck ball and some nice lines.

MP taking some unnecessary options.. like the final pushed pass of the half, as a case and point.
If they set a base and be a bit more selective about when to roll the dice on the 50/50s they will go close

Amazing how easily MP put themselves under pressure.

Slow ruck ball, a near inability to get front foot ball compounded by poor skill execution.

    Amazing they're still in this.

That period of play is the best they've looked all game.

And Jules gets 61 SR tries.

The attack coach for MP would likely not be able to get a job for a good college.

Bodies in motion appears to be a foreign concept.

Thankfully the rebels are offside and give up the lead

Hmmm Pickerell deems Norris as fine joining the maul and then goes and penalises him for entry.

29-23 Rebels FT. Set piece the difference, ironic considering the Rebels could barely throw a ball straight in their first 2 games.

The Rebels have a good enough squad to be a bottom end finals side. Whether they do that or not us another story.

    Stephen Jones?

MP still only have two decent scrummaging props - Lay and Mafileo.

@Bovidae Mafileo got dominated at scrum time too, but yes, more often than not you can rely on him to hold up the scrum. James Lay can't come back soon enough as well, Pole had a poor night. Kepu is also about 7 years past his best too.
