@Runt Then what’s the point in carding us for ill discipline then if the card doesn’t release the pressure.

It was for a pro foul and a high tackle. Nothing to do with how many other penalties we had conceded.

@hydro11 I’m not arguing Kirifis card. So if IWL didn’t do what he did and there was another penalty there wouldn’t be a card? I’m struggling to understand how the card wasn’t enough to punish them for the repeat infringements.

Canes may just be the real deal.

Barrett's penalty was class. Decision to take and then nailing it. Excellent game management.

After all that, they won the second half 10-8, but lost the penalty count about 13-2!

Hurricanes MOTM poll here - https://www.forum.thesilverfern.com/topic/6634/hurricanes-motm-vs-drua/3

I went Shields, Proctor and Flanders as my picks.

Aumua a massive worry now for the Canes, hopefully it's not serious.

Well done to the Canes. No win is an easy win in Fiji but they played it perfectly and whilst under siege for large periods of the match.

They'll be hard to stop this year.

@African-Monkey seems like injuries could be the only thing that stops the Canes. The Canes need their own knee specialist.

That was pretty pleasing for a Canes man! That was a tough win, Aumua's knee could be a worry, even though I thought O'Reilly was bloody good when he on, which was much of game.

Aumua on crutches but I'm sure that's precautionary so he doesn't put any more weight on that knee.

Defence wins championships and the Canes definitely have that in spades this year. Just need to pull in the discipline. Heading into this game the Hurricanes had only received one yellow card this year, they were handed three in this game which won't please Laidlaw. What he will be pleased with is fight, a great shift when 13 men down.

@Canes4life This team looks way different how many times have we crumbled under pressure once we’ve conceded a yellow. In previous years.

I don't think there is much tougher a game than the Drua away, so will take the win. Just hope Aumua isn't as serious as it looked.

                                  Stats are crazy

@foobaNZ I think the fact Aumua didn’t go off on a stretcher means the injury is hopefully less dramatic compared to Roigard. He looked sore though so at the very least he’ll probably be out for 3 weeks or more. Fingers crossed it isn’t a season ending injury because O’Reilly simply isn’t on the same level and we don’t have much depth at hooker.
