To bring Tamaiti Williams back and straight into the starting line up in a NZ derby when he hasn’t played any rugby since week 1 is terrible management in itself. Hes then pulled before half time, It makes no sense and sets Williams up to fail. You could tell he was well off it in regards to fitness.
I suppose that’s a theme from Penney this season though, he started Halfpenny after being out all season, has a shocker then pulls him early and he’s not in the matchday 23 the following week
very strange to see at super rugby level.Because Halfpenny had a calf injury he injured at the end of that game, pretty hard to select him the next week running on one leg
He was pulled around the 45minute mark. Didn’t know he got a calf injury but that in itself just proves my point. Haven’t played any rugby at all all season then thrown into the starting line up and gets injured again. Shock.
Blame James Marshall for that out of his depth as a coach,
Halfpenny still has that calf injury.Blame the backs coach for team selections and not having players fit to play and select them to play when they’ve been out for the season? That’s a new one haha.
End of the day, the head coach makes these calls and has the power to override Marshalls wants. It lands on Penny. Unsure how you can’t acknowledge that?
FFS have you not read any of my posts saying Penny has to go time and time again but he is not the only fluffybunny that needs to go you got that ?

Marshall is the back coach he has a say in who the backline is,he is just responsible as Penny, Marshall is useless.I thought you would understand a back coach has a big input into what the backline is you run out week to week.
But maybe not ae.Yeah mate, I get everything you’re saying. I’m not saying Marshall is up to it. Unfortunately you’re refusing to take on board what I’m saying about the head coach having the final say and has the power to override his assistants. Really unsure of your argument/angle here so like I said, leaving it at that. Pointless back and forward now repeating myself. good luck

@Chris Far out, reminds me of the Blues 2015 and 2018 seasons where we were wheeling out all sorts of random NPC players towards the end of those campaigns.

Bit surprised he hasn't seen more gametime, looked good in his outings, in my bias opinion, better than the over hyped Springer too.
