    Yesss!!!

    Wow what a performance!

    Sir Vern.

    Best Blues performance since 2003.

    Absolutely stoked.

Hard to single out one Blue cos they had so many top performances.

Akira with the game of his career. A big departing fuck you to Razor

Christie - I was wrong. Even with some limitations in his game he was terrific tonight.

Plummer has to be an AB. So should a number of other Blues.

Tuips with a leadership display like no other.

    How good was Lam!?

Commiserations Chiefs fans. The conditions didn't suit your game. You'll be back.

    Absolutely stoked.

Man - I know you’re stoked , and I’m genuinely stoked for you - but you really thought Christie played well???

I thought he was incredibly laboured the whole game, despite the forward dominance he enjoyed, and that you guys played well in spite of him not because of him. His pass is just so painfully slow, he’s very predictable, and I really can’t see what he offers.

Gotta laugh that Clarkes #1 frustration over the last few years has been that he just falls over sometimes, ends up delivering him a decisive try tonight. πŸ˜‚

So Bonesetta being a canes fan, a couple of years ago we decided to nominate the other 3 kiwi teams to her mum, dad and brother.

Brother is well on the bandwagon after this morning and wants a blues champions 24 flag for his bar. Any ideas where I could get?

The criticism of Clarke in the past was 100% legit. He was shite. Now, he has positioned himself as the most effective left wing in Super Rugby. He has the opportunity to show what he has at test level.

If McKenzie is NZ's best first five, we have serious problems.

                    Hard disagree.

DMac is our best First Five and a Test quality 10. Beauden Barrett and Harry Plummer should be the backups. Then we have serious problems.

I'm not denying DMac is our best ten... but considering he is, I think this is an issue. He is a great Super Rugby player 95% of the time, but there is a reason Razor wants Mo'unga to come back.

Is there a coaching award in nz rugby ?

Cotter has to be the winner if there is , not just because they won , but the manner in which he transformed their game, all the faults we associated with the blues have gone .

Reminds me a bit of Rennie at the chiefs.

The trend towards percentage forward based rugby was great to see. Cotter, McMillan and Laidlaw had excellent seasons and this bodes well for NZs coaching stocks in the immediate future

Rieko has come a hell of a long way. There's been no niggle this year. He speaks much better. He has taken over the captaincy at the end of games (including last night). He had an excellent playoff series.

                                Absolutely rapt for him.

Very amusing that it was sunny most of yesterday and today, and it rained like a monsoon during the game.

@Kirwan it sums up the Blues transformation that in past years the winter weather come playoff time would not be their friend in terms of game style.

Last night the wet weather suited Blues to a T.

If Razor is as smart as his reputation would suggest, the forward and set piece dominated play which was a feature of the Blues and Canes should be clearly imprinted in the AB DNA this season
