Suncorp Stadium has officially sold out for the Wallabies’ opening game of the Rugby Championship against the Springboks, in a much-welcomed boost for the game in Australia.

The clash against South Africa is the first time Suncorp Stadium has sold out for a rugby union match since 2013; with all 52,500 seats expected to be filled on Saturday.

It is also set to be the biggest crowd for a Wallabies home game since their clash against South Africa at Accor Stadium, Sydney in 2006.

            Gold Coast.

Combine that with the excitement of the Wallabies winning three in a row!

@Duluth He is a very talented 10. Played most of his Stormers rugby in 12 when Willemse isnt around. 10 is best position and will try and dominate by foot and ball. Also captained the SA u20 team. Sort of Damian Willemse player but a very good place kicker.

Fell off a few tackles at the end of the 2nd Ireland game. Doesn't bode well for the big games. Willemse is a very good defender, it remains to be seen if Sacha can be the player we want him to be at this level.

@W32 I am a bit biased but he defend well enough in 12 for the Stormers. Defending is easier in 10 I think.

Hmmm, I don't think Oz are anywhere near Ireland - on the other hand - Brisvegas brings out the best in them and, historically, the worst in the Boks.

Then maybe they should ask for banjos at all of their matches.

Honestly looks like Schmidt is playing a long game with these selections - especially in the forwards

I wonder if Schmidt was tempted to go with a 6:2 bench to match the Boks.

If they didn’t have a couple of injuries in the loose forwards he may have considered it.

Bomb squad will be licking their lips at the prospect of Nonggorr coming on. Not the best scrummager
