My Aussie friend is convinced that SRAU is more physical than SRA and the defences are better. I haven't watched a lot of SRAU so I can't comment. Any truth to this?

Aussies playing to their traditional strengths?

That's a bullshit penalty to lose a game. The Brumbies player drove the Reds player back into the scrumhalf. But the Reds did everything they could to lose that in the last five minutes.

Good finish after the Tahs controlled they final quarter, but a late try to seal it for the Brumbies.

    Colour me irritated/disappointed bloody annoyed.
Not with the loss so much (then again, maybe) but more the manner in which we lost.
Chiefs have prided themseleves on their D for the 1st 3 games. The D against the Ponies was weak as water non-existent at times

Agreed. People are talking about how good the Brumbies were - not hard to look good when you're consistently going forward and making breaks from poor defence.

A straight line instead of shooters leaving gaping holes and making first up tackles would've resulted in the Brumbies kicking more often, giving some possession to the Chiefs.

The red card would have made a difference, in all probability.

But the Ponies fucking bottled that.
One shitty exit - when they're getting the upper hand - leads to a chargedown try.
A failure to close the game out gives the Clan the penalty they need.

They shouldn't take any time to blame the officials for what was a completely fucking unfathomable decision to award a yellow instead of the blindingly obvious red for contact to the head.

He has his critics for his lack of vision during his League days, but Solomona Kata looks handy on the wing. He's very strong in contact and could be a handful for opposition defences.

    I didn't even realize he'd converted!

Two saffer Journeymen playing for a "Japanese" franchise in SR I hope Sunwlves get battered every weekend

I don't get this. Why would you want that? Because they have journeymen in their team? Or has been's? Or players that haven't been picked up by another SR side (yet)? It sounds like you resent them for some reason. Because they are a failed experiment?

I'd like them to be as competitive as possible with their limited squad, so at least their games are watchable. They have a remarkably loyal crowd that deserves entertaining games (even if they lose often) in the final year of this franchise's existence.

Yeah have to agree they were good to watch last season won first up in 20/20 not the worst team going around shame for the sake of the Competition it didn't go on SR needs a lift its dying off a bit crowds are poor it needs some injection of something.

@taniwharugby That was Nock's first start this year and he played really well - quick decision making, fast pass, good box kicks, covered well. The Blues look so good when their big forwards maintain their structure and hit the advantage line and he was part of that. Of recent times he has had some time off the bench and looked much better than last year (even with one intercept pass) - the key being the quicker decision making. I don't know what has happened but either he has woken up or the coaching and tactics have improved. I do think with MacDonald we are seeing a more structured uptempo game plan. I want to see him get some more game time and see how he goes. If he plays like he did on Saturday then he deserves to be there. The fact that the Coaching team gave him a start says that they were also are pleased with his cameo's to that point. He is the perfect example of a player selected too early - his quiet nature has probably been part of that, but to me he looks like he starting to step up. But I wold like to see him run more more as he is quick and to keep working on his physicality which has improved.

The Ponies made something like 200 tackles last week so you'd expect them to be knackered, travel or no.
