Hats off to the Rabble, staying close to the Chiefs despite carrying the wooden spoon, until those final minutes.
The Chiefs, what can I say? They were pretty average until those final minutes.

Ugly! I had a feeling this game would be a repeat of the last game in Melbourne but luckily with a better result. 5 pts and flush down the dunny.

Cane and BBBR were immense. We would have been fucked without them. TKB great as well, particularly on defence.

DMac and Cruden were really poor with their exit plays. They gave the Rebels opportunities on attack.

I'm not sure too many of the newbies pushed their case tonight. Karpik - hold onto the ball you idiot!

I watched both games without commentary so can't comment on the Fox comms.

@Nepia not even close? Nonu's last few years were unreal. Run threat, pass threat, a kicking game, and defensively hard. I reckon it's a valid discussion (after Horan was undisputed for years)

I think that Horan was a stand out and mostly mistake free over a long career - Nonu an easy second (this is of course of players I've actually seen play, old timers might punt for Bert Cooke). As a NZer I'd pick him for the Nepia XV over the dirty Aussie Horan ... but Horan is the better player for me.
