Hell, I'm a two scooper too! AS is the wife!!

and so long as you're not taking it every day, Rage does not need to be cycled etc.
And if you are using 4/5 times a week (generally 4)? -
Confirmed positions have me at;

Individual: 20990 and 1243 for Worldwide and Australian region (so have slipped out of the top 1000 I'm aiming for)

Masters 40-44: 1197 and 53 (same order)

Could be worse. I'm in with a shot as long as they keep some heavier weights in their for higher reps. -
Well done mate. Just looked you up on the leaderboard.

I see the likely suspects are up the top after workout 1 - Rich Froning, Jason Khalipa -

Hey K, 4 times a week, just on the weights workouts. So usually 2 on, 1 off 2 on, 2 off...
Ok, that is very similar to me with the frequency. Tried the double scoop today (perfectly timed for 6am workout), don't feel the boost at the beginning as much, but definitely feel the benefit at the back of a workout, high reps are being maintained.

Had a good strength morning with my push press. Worked that up to 80kg x 5, added 5kg to my PB. So pretty much what I weigh. -
that is mean bro! being able to lift your bodyweight over your head is an achievement, let alone 5 reps! I've been transitioning to these at the end of my military presses. There is a surprising amount of technique to doing it efficiently, not enough snap and that weight just doesn't want to move!
-
13.2 released today: 10min AMRAP of 5 x 115lbs Shoulder to Overhead, 10 x 115lbs Deadlift, 15 x Box Jumps

I suspect this is going to be one of the ones that look easy enough on paper, and halfway through you can't straighten your back or jump or something. Breaking it down, I'm completely fine with the presses, that weight won't bother me for the number of rounds I expect to get.

I struggle to cycle deadlifts with any speed, so I'll try to transition from the press straight to the dead lift for as long as I can to save some time.

Box Jumps I will really struggle with. I still step down, and don't cycle them to save my dodgy calves and Achilles. That will be too slow for this sort of sprint workout, so will have to force myself to cycle, again for as long as I can.

I'm really not sure what I'm going to aim for this. I think in the 6-8 rounds range (180-240). 8 is pretty unrealistic though, considering the Games athletes have had a crack and got 12, still it's pretty short and those extra four rounds are 120 reps difference, so maybe.

Some mad men have done the workout already, and there are a lot of scores in the mid 200s, and looking for people that got the same score as me in 13.1, it ranges from 180-240 (same as above).

I'll have some fast guys to chase in the gym tonight. The brothers cycle the box jumps like rabbits, so I expect big scores from them. -
Fuck. Ing. Hell.

I'm sure I've felt worse after a workout, but not sure when. That was utterly awful, seriously considering not repeating it.

Just got to 180, Deadlifts went first and had to break them up into fives. Lower back fatigued big time after 30 of them. Box jumps were slow and got slower. Just nowhere to hide in this one, you either have the wind fitness to do it or not.

JK, the cycling means you rest on the box, then spring back up and repeat. Much faster, but I could only do that for two rounds, and I think it wiped me out for the rest.

Going to try and jump down, then set and go again. Should be faster than a step down, and less harsh on my back. Oh fuck, guess that means I'm going again.... -
Well done Kirwan. Sounds like you smashed it out. Great stuff. The box jumps (assume its the 24") are a tough one to maintain that rhythm.

I'm going to give it a go over the next few days. -
Yeah, it's the 24". I've never been particularly good at them, and this is a workout that if you can do them quick you'll cream the competition. Super kid got an unbelievable 287! And he had about four no reps, so could have done more.

Still, can only do what you can do. So my target is 180+ for the next go round. -
Starting to get the feeling that I shouldn't repeat these fuckers. Had another crack yesterday and got five less for 175.

I improved the deadlifts to where I wanted (mostly sets of 10) and that just destroyed my boxjumps around the halfway point. My lower back and hamstrings were on fire, took a good 30mins to recover from that.

At the five min point I was on target to finish my previous six rounds at around 9mins, so annoyed but at the same time pleased to be sure that 180 was the best I could do.

So that drops me from 55 to 146 in my Aussie masters section, and have plummeted down to 2000 in the Individual Men (not final placing yet, could get worse!). So please be heavy weights in the next one! -
Still a good effort mate.

That fella I know of isn't registered and only doing it to push his mate who is registered. Reckons he did 10.5 rounds and his mate missed 11 by a couple of reps. Dunno how many reps that is. Also told me about some chick who had clocked a top score of 420.... That's insane -
330 is 11 rounds. If he got 328, that would put him at 454th in the world for that workout (46th in Oz), 30 less reps (1 round) less than the guy who won the Crossfit games the last two years in a row.

I suspect these guys aren't doing this at an affiliate in front of a judge no-reping movements that don't match the standards. If you don't stand up fully on the box, for example, box jumps get a whole lot easier and faster.

Not saying it isn't possible, but I look at a guy like Darren Ellis, who's one of the top guys in NZ, and he got 322.

They are going to release the video of the 420 soon (it was done on a military base), can't wait to see how that was even possible! Second place was 383, so got beaten by more than a round. -
That reads back pissier than I meant. We have had an interesting time here with the another local affiliate here, and one of the scores is "interesting". A guy who could barely snatch 45kg in a tournament recently got through 30 x 60kg. Hell of an improvement.

Lots of false scores being posted in the open too. One guy put up a video and got no-reped all over the show. Took down the video then posted up a affiliate judged score for the same value. It's annoying. -
Its this fella http://games.crossfit.com/athlete/39326
-
Jesus, a 2.24 Fran is world class. And I take 50 mins to do a filthy 50, and he takes 16.42.

Currently in 33rd in Oz, so a few places of regionals (IIRC it's top 30). He must have been training up a storm over the past year and a half. I did a google to see if he went to regionals last year, and found his placings in the 2011 Auckland Games, and he came one place behind the kid I keep banging on about from my gym in the intermediate comp. He would have been around 15 at the time too.

Had a few Crossfit Newmarketers wander into our gym, seems a good gym from what they say about it (must be hellishly expensive!) -
Kirwan, great work. You can only do what you can do-re box jumps, archilles and dodgy calf muscles. Hope those areas heal.
JK, I clicked on a few other names. WTF? this guy has a pull up MAX of 36
http://games.crossfi...m/athlete/29431
and this guy is 60 MAX.
http://games.crossfit.com/athlete/2052
Is that dead hang, full pull up, no momentum, no rest? If it is, then I'm embarrassingly weak.
