@taniwharugby said in Waratahs v Blues: @snowy this is the Blues, they are playing shite and should get spanked.... Tana isn't completely bad at management. His "expectation management" is superb - keep losing and the fans expect nothing. The Blues are also more consistent they they have ever been previously...I shouldn't need to explain that.

@bovidae said in Waratahs v Blues: How about the 2nd half for a change? That would be different. I did mention that they are developing some consistency so a second half win seems unlikely. I almost bought into this: @nzzp said in Waratahs v Blues: Weirdly, I have a good feeling about this game. Then you ruined it by pointing out that we haven't won in SYD for over a decade.

@taniwharugby said in Waratahs v Blues: @snowy history means nothing to this Blues team! Sadly that is true. I am old enough to remember when they were quite good.

@kiwimurph said in Waratahs v Blues: @nzzp Blues won v Tahs in Sydney 40-33 last year. That's the one I was thinking of! That was a huge result for us ... hopefully we can do the same thing again. Also, I LOOOOOOVE this conference system. PLaying the Tahs away two years in a row. Mmmm yeah baby.

@nta said in Waratahs v Blues: NRL officials asked for an investigation into the surface at Brookvale aka Knee Surgeon's Paradise. Hooper will play a good game as its in his home territory but the rest of them will wonder what kind of poorly-lit, 70s horror film they just walked into. It really is a shit hole. If Rieko Ioane gets a serious knee injury as a result of the pitch I swear to fucking God....

Good too see with reputations on the line that reporters are questioning the religious beliefs of the opposition. "Keep your eyes on the ball" is a key tenet in rugby. "Keep your writing to the game itself" should be one for rugby journalists.
