lol, would be like betting on the bloody ballet hooroo - just not done!! But I'm quietly confident, there is one other bloke that I know is pretty good who is going to be there, but with this sport in the regional champs you just don't know week to week who's going to compete, so could be a fleet of decent bods on stage, or you and a bunch of fat boys!!

13 days to go - Ness and myself, As you can see, Ness a lot leaner and bigger than last time out. We're ready to compete NOW though, but the time always flies over these last couple of weeks. Waxing, tanning, dehydration, training, cardio, routines, compulsory poses. and sleep, sleep, sleep. Both now 1kg off competition weight, so that is not going to be a problem this time out. Is weird, we always seem to be the same weight off comp weight at this stage of things.
The definition in your wife's back and shoulders is excellent. Talk about being cut.

and a good workout this morning - chest, first time in months ZERO poin in shoulders and or 'tennis elbow' bits. Hoo-rah, as the Marines would say. Triceps too this morning, always with chest at the moment. But good workout - upped the DB weight by one set on the rack, and it was a struggle, but got through. The press ups after though were HARD! All on target though for Whakatane - 12 days...

Quite a bit more bulk in your upper body this year.

that was certainly the plan (not to tap children, get bigger). Is fun though when you lean down and finally get to SEE the hard work, and if it is paying off!!

lucky legs this morning. smashed smashed and smashed some more. ouch. energy zapped. Leads to much harsher moderation, bye bye davidav. Newter might have taken note of 'the vanishing'. And then again, he might not have...
Cardio this morning, treadmill at gym, all good.

Weight yesterday 81.1kg, 600g off contest weight, so zero worries on that front for Whakatane in a couple of weekends time. Scales BF% was 8.5, so if I take off the 3.5 to equate it to the trainers reading, I'm sitting at 5%! We'll find out on Sunday when we visit trainer, but all going well at the moment, touch wood...

Awesome Bart - nicely prepped for the comp. Must be really nice to be right on the verge of hitting your comp target weight and BF. All that super hard work is paying off. Next step is to dye yourself orange and prepare for war!!

one more step, my LEAST favourite. Defoliation (as I call it). Waxing. I reckon this is the main reason I'll quite this sport. Eating - sweet; training, easy peasey; war paint, no worries; whole body wax, fuck me sideways that hurts.

Takes a lot of pressure off though the weight thing being right. And in the fragile states of minds that you end up in over the next week, that's a biggie.

Shoulders this morning, terrible nights sleep, felt like 2 minutes. Still, a decent workout, shoulders screaming out enough at the end of the workout.

Did some pairs routine posing, compulsories, and home for oats!

WEight this morning up to 81.7, so plus 600g, but BF down to 5.5%. Hate the scales at the moment, they chance from minute to minute, can do your head in, even tough you know all is going well. FELT lean this morning, and in the mirrors looking like a BB now.

How is your sleep usually? I've been using magnesium supplements for muscle tightness but it also helps sleep I find.

like a corpse normally! BUt at this stage often have restless nights - getting up to pee 400 times a night (and Mrs BartMan too) does not help though either though. So expect tonight to be a pearler sleep!

and that is a wrap. Last workout from the current programme dusted. Next week I think is legs Monday, whole body Tuesday, Wednesday and maybe Thursday. Friday off, Saturday game day. Waxing Monday and Tuesday, spray tanning Thursday and Friday morning. Geez I can't wait.

So was back and biceps today, another tough one, weights slowly working their way down as the energy reserves get lower. First set always the same as when full of beans, but by the last you're usually a plate or two on the stack down from where you start!

Then cracked into the routine, individual today for a few run throughs. That's hard enough work alone - a minute of flexing and trying to look like Arnold while feeling like a concentrationj camp victim. It's all a bloody illusion, that is for sure - the only sport in the world that when you compete you are at your lowest peak energy and mentally wise!!

Mad I tells ya mad, I love it!

cardio today - an hour and 15 walk around 'the old pub road' . Was pretty tough work. That is all.
