As we're in playoff mode, a progress update after 2 games. This weekend is already better than last weekend for quite a few people although getting the 2 margins correct was tricky.

Scores are in and everything is up to date in the usual place.
Mikedogz gets best score of the weekend with 66, 7 correct results and both category picks as well. He helped the BOP Chiefs to easily dispose of Blues B and reach the final - to try to win their first ever title after losing 3 previous finals. The SunJags put away the favoured Barbarians to reach their first ever final - so there will be a new winner on the trophy.
Overall Mikedogz shot up to 2nd spot, just 2 points behind Hydro11 - this despite missing a week and also scoring 8 in Week 10. Corkscrew also scored well to move level in 3rd with Dolamite and 9 off the lead. Gunner is just 4 back and with 2 weeks to go, one of these 5 should be champion with only DK an outside bet at 22 off the lead.
In the Sequel Cup, it is Donsteppa v Mikedogz in the final over 2 legs.

I pick Blues 1-8 (I know, as if I'd be that stupid)
But Crusaders win 1-8.@taniwharugby A margin means you scored 10 points - correct winner and correct margin.

Just one more week of tipping and then it is a break for all of us until the NPC kicks off on August 8. And checking the fixtures it is a beautiful 10 weeks of 7 games per week - no stupid double up weeks and no stupid Wednesday games.
A tough week with nobody at all picking the Chiefs and only 5 of 44 getting the Waratahs. Tipping slightly favoured the Canes but plenty picked the Sharks. FarNthHayden and Waynes World were the only ones with 5/6, FNH the only 40+ score with 44, Triple T with 39.
In the final, the SunJags take the lead after the first leg 33-28. A full turnout for them so Richie's poor 19 was discarded and GT12 & Chimoaus scored 37 backed by Bruce Kenyon's 36. For the BOP Chiefs, I was the only one to stand up under the spotlight of a final with 36 and Unite's 19 meant Sportboy's 20 had to be counted.
Elsewhere the Barbarians take a lead of 9 and look to have 3rd spot sewn up with Canes Black leading by 6 for 5th and Canes Gold by 2 for 7th.
A good week for Hydro11 as he extended his lead to 14. Mikedogz & Corkscrew share 2nd with Dolamite just 3 behind. Triple T is 5th but 26 off the lead will mean he'll need something extraordinary. Gunner crashed out of the race with just 19.
In the Cup, Donsteppa took a 7 point lead in the all BOP Chiefs battle with Mikedogz.
Finally the new rule for your score if you fail to tip (@Crucial and @Bones are AWOL) is that you score 5 lower than Virgil who is setting new standards in low scoring in recent weeks.

Update so far - most went Blues but 14 picked the Reds and all of them scored a maximum 10. BOP Chiefs close up on the SunJags in the final, Hydro11 has his lead cut to 6 points from Mikedogz with Dolamite 3 points back. Mikedogz takes the lead from Donsteppa in the Cup final.

It's just set up that way in my spreadsheet for the teams comp. Could run it another week for the individual comp if everyone is keen - given you're actually leading then if you're happy, I'm sure everyone else is!

Report for week 17 and the news is - the teams competition is over, the 2 cups are complete but the individual comp lasts one more week. All the pages are updated here including a tipping sheet for Week 18.

Another draw and the players to get 6/6 were Mikedogz, Richie, Paj and Joan and Mary. But the top scorer was Canerbry with 52 (he picked both highest and lowest scorers) just ahead of Phoeey - South Island finally having a good week and avoiding the wooden spoon.
The Sunjags held on to win their first title, well done to the whole team. They won in the second leg as well as the first so it was a comfortable margin over the BOP Chiefs in the end - Richie, Joan and Mary and Barbarian all over 40 with only Sportboy achieving it for the BOP Chiefs.
Barbarians easily took 3rd from Blues B, Canes Black beat Blues A for 5th and South Island took 7th meaning Canes Gold took the wooden spoon.
The Sequel Cup was won by Donsteppa by 4 points from Mikedogz.
With a week to go, Hydro11 retains his 14 point lead from Mikedogz due to picking high and low scorer. All the others in contention fell back so it should be between these 2.
