This situation in my mind only adds to my long held views (rubbished by Blues fans) that NZ will always have one runt in the litter while we have “double derbies” and that the pressure and effects of that draw (and the quality of the talent pool) will set sides on losing streaks that will be damaging.
Chiefs created their own hole with shit performances against non NZ sides that should have been wins and now face getting kicked in the head while lying on the ground.
It’s a very hard comp to bounce back in and while winning sides continue to win, losing sides continue to lose.

I wonder if we will wrap a bow round it for them or just serve it up on a platter?

@Hooroo Don't speak too soon, you always grow an extra leg in the Tron. I remember heading down for a playoff game and going home unhappy

Was that the fog semi final? Not as bad as the fog final but I still didn't see the final few minutes when the Canes were hammering away at the line. Was that 2010? Was before 2011 and the Hammetteur anyway.

Maybe. I remember it being farken cold, and we had KFC at Huntly with the other roughs on the way home, I can't remember if John Campbell walked in wearing his Canes uni?

This game tonight, the Warriors tomorrow, no good movies out at the moment, and the weather is shit. Going to be a long weekend.

@Nepia Quietly looking forward to the Laumape and Leinert Brown matchup. Fairly mediocre everywhere else but with dry weather forecast there could be a few points on the board after the 80.

The Canes backs should run rings around the Chiefs backs - ALB and DMac will spend all their time tackling. You want to know how bad things are at the Chiefs? Wainui looks to be one of the better backs. 😱

@Nepia Just as long as we can hold our own in the forwards. I'm hoping this isn't the game that Rettalick decides to go beast mode.

I assume there's a heavy police presence at the Mosque at the roundabout on Boundary Road. Hopefully they have enough to cover the ground too (and general city etc of course).

Ahh well, something to laugh at anyway - look at the state of Laumape's shorts.
