What a game. This Blues side is the real deal. Thought the reserve bench did a great job. Congrats Chiefs though. Took chances.
@kev agree,really good cameo from both Moulds and Nock especially,2 box kicks were superb..and speed of pass is much quicker than Ruru..good game,much better than last nights game..you know it’s not gonna be your night Wainui flicks a pass up into his hands at pace..a couple pieces of good fortune definitely helped the chiefs out ..Robinson was still smashing into rucks in the closing stages.

I don’t think there is anything between the bottom four. It’s tight.
Crusaders well ahead of everyone (in the whole comp).

Threw well enough too. We have jettisoned players like Collins and Pulu, should be Parsons turn now.

Given Hodgman was carrying well into contact, he probably didn't expect the pass. Tu’inukuafe was huge again. As was the big ginger.

@Kirwan nah the Canes are second by a wee way. They are winning games with some of their best cattle out. We will see in the next month though.

Pretty great game. I suppose Chiefs really regret losing that Sunwolves game. They would be well in the top 8 if they had won that. Blues still have a fair way to go but showed a lot of character. Nonu very good again for them.
@hydro11 shit I can't wait until Nonu squares off with Laumape at the tin in a few weeks.

Relieved to get that one. Picked the Chiefs by 5 in Superbru but was hoping it wouldn’t be that tight for the blood pressure.
While the result was a similar score differential to the last 2-3 years, this does look like a different Blues team. I didn’t want us to kick the ball away as the Blues always seemed to have space and numbers to operate with. At one stage the Chiefs missed tackle count was double...
Read during the week that Nonu had been an idol of ALB’s growing up, and he got a close look at him bumping him off for that first phase try..!
Some great displays of individual skill in that game from the backs especially.

Not sure why people are gloating about Nonu's try. For the rest of the game ALB was far superior.
However the Chiefs rode their luck otherwise. An intercept and a miracle try were the difference.

From Nigel Yalden's twitter: He’ll have a scan in the morning but no definitive diagnosis yet. No immediate swelling to the knee which I’m informed is a good sign.

Great game to watch. Loved the pace both teams played at, especially the Blues. Both halfbacks for the Blues tonight played with a bit of urgency. Pulu should take note.
If we are being objective, Nonu didn’t have a great game but scored a great try. ALB looked dynamic tonight. And who was that bulldozer that came off the bench for the Chiefs in the backs? Big unit.

the negative being the injury to Dmac , if its ACL , he wont feature in the WC you would think, usually a 12 month injury ,
that might confirm Richie Mounga in the 23, BB covering FB , no more injuries please .

@antipodean yeah pretty sure Hodgman was meant to carry, draw the defender, but he threw the 50/50, ah well, plenty of other opportunities, shouldn’t dwell on that last play.
