Hit the gym tonight, so good, but man I am gonna feel it tomorrow.

Decided to do my intake from today...certainly hit my protein for a change

The snack section includes protein shakes and fruit, sn't just loads of chips haha

went for my annual check up on Thursday, and in the past 24 months my Triglyceride levels have jumped from a healthy 1.5 whatevers to an unhealthy 4.5 whatevers...

My cholesterol level has gone form just under the healthy range to just over.

So some changes needed in my diet, and re-ignite my goal to get to my ideal weight of 95kg (post lockdown this year got to 102kg)

So starting point: 101kg this morning!

Weetbix do, well, a weetbix with plant sterols in them, which supposedly help with cholesterol, so will be having that as my brekkie from now on, with some oats, protein yoghurt and milk.

It is amazing how many healthy meals have loads of carbs and/or calories: 1700kj and 31g of carbs from 220g meal

I thought you were doing the non breakfast fasting or is that someone else on here ?

Yeah I don’t touch cereal, AT ALL. Way too carby and the supposedly healthy options usually aren’t that at all. It’s either that or a nice beer every now and again and that isn’t a tough decision at all.

Oh right. That’s something I do and have gotten used to and my belt buckle has thanked me but I do realise it isn’t for everyone. Easy on the weekends if I have a bit of a lie in but can be tough other times.

I’ve done it on and off for about 3 years now and it works for me. Also doing stuff where you move quickly and get out of breath after awhile…..I think it’s called “cardio” or some weird sounding word. Turns out it’s quite beneficial

Yeah that stuff is good shit. Great for camping as well. If you have little time just chuck contents of 2 cans in together with rice and maybe some almonds and mustard. 👌

Yep it's crazy. Probably great back in the day for farmer Joes and people on their feet all day, but way too much sugar for the modern desk jockey. Nutrigrain is "Ironman Food" because only ironmen burn enough calories to eat it.

….yeah and I remember some “Karen” whinging on Stuff.co.nz about her kid getting obese from too many powerades despite the All Blacks promoting it. Apparently ( although I’m no expert ) you need to do a shitload of exercise too. Who’d have thought ?

So starting point: 101kg this morning!

Weetbix do, well, a weetbix with plant sterols in them, which supposedly help with cholesterol, so will be having that as my brekkie from now on, with some oats, protein yoghurt and milk.

It is amazing how many healthy meals have loads of carbs and/or calories: 1700kj and 31g of carbs from 220g meal

It's not like we don't have access to information these days.... Christ people are stupid.

A friend of my son's was round some years back and loudly proclaimed that his mummy wouldn't let him drink coke but but everything else was fine, including Powerade. Ffs.

Hate calorie counting, and tbh was getting a bit over it when I was in deficit all week and not dropping weight.

Weighed 99.5 this morning, so dropped 1.5 since last Monday but I am not sure how much to attribute to the fact I had less than 1,000 cals yesterday due to a swollen lymph node meaning eating was uncomfortable, although surely the week of deficit will help too.

Calorie deficit in week 2 and still put on 500g this week....always sugars, salt and usually monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats I'm right on the daily limit or just under/over.

shes gonna be tough at the gym in the coming months with them not allowed to use fans!

Last 2 days been early 20s here, and I have sweated loads in my workouts, which wouldnt be so bad if I was drinking as much water as I would normally, but water fountains off too...keep forgetting to take a much bigger bottle (usually my 1L bottle is refilled at least twice)
