Caught this pic of the once great Prince Naseem Hamed. Holy shit. Any other honourable mentions?

I hear he makes money on the side these days as a sub-continental Vince Vaughn impersonator.

I read he's over 100kg. That's a horrific BMI for someone of that height. Real shame cos he was one of the most entertaining fighters of ANY division to watch. Freakish reactions and power.

Heap of boxers now huge. Buster Douglas is a great example. He completely went to town after he beat Tyson and cashed in against Holyfield. By the weigh in everyone knew he'd already lost the fight.

Was actually taking about athletes going to pie with my swimming instructor tonight. He's only 21 but says that a number of swimmers he knew have become puddings because they're still eating the same amount as when they trained like maniacs but no longer offset the burgers. He's recently retired from top competitive swimming and said he now struggles to find the balance. When you're no longer training 5-6 hours a day, there is going to be a massive change. There are also others (probably like the Prince) who have to watch every calorie and just go nuts when they can finally hit the buffet.

@Rancid-Schnitzel seem like quite a few boxers take a feast v famine approach with their training. Some of them fluctuate heaps with their weight during fights, then you have guys like AJ and the Klitschko's who always seem to be in fighting trim.

Not surprised swimmers battle a bit. 5-6 hours of training gives you heaps of leeway with your kai. Plus they've got all that spare time on their hands!!

If you don't tell someone they're fat they might never know. It's for the greater good.

Must be very hard for the taller, lightweight fighters. Holding that weight isn't natural and must be difficult to live with.

Or any athletes that do high level sport. My only personal reference was when I trained for my one and only marathon. I got to eat whatever I wanted, as much as I wanted, and during the peak parts of my training programme I still lost weight. It must be very difficult, after years of incredible self discipline to keep from pigging out big time
